It goes to a voting system by who entered the competition to decide the top 20 , I think it’s tough to get through that part because there’s a loads of denim communities who vote for there own guys.. but hey it is what it is. See how my XHS get on this year got to submit my final pictures before the 7th.🤞👍

@@luvthefades I’ve kind of cheated with my 555. Have had a few pairs. To get them to fit right for me I do an early soak when I get them then after 2 months I wash them in warm water then I put in dryer. All things I know are not good for the jeans but I only do it once and then they fit perfect when there ready to wear. Baggy in the right places. And slimmer on the legs. Love pure blue Japan jeans but the IH are so soft when they break in. IH has to be one of my fav. Great channel. Good job.
That’s definitely brave , I was nervous putting mine in the washing machine at first let alone a tumble dryer lol . If it works for you mate 👍 IH Uk have a pair put to one side for me I asked them to find a pair closer to the measurements that suit me so looking forward to seeing how they fit when I get them. 👍
Uuh nice and crisp electric blue mate, i just got myself the 555s-21oz and about 3 days in wear, dunno if it’ll give the same faded result like yours since mine is a lighter fabric but definitely a solid reference for me, and i'm new to this raw selvedge denim world so a video like this really helps me a lot, keep it coming mate! Would you say pre-soaking these are mandatory? They are sanforized, but it sounds like you attribute your blowout to not soaking first. I just got a pair of these and am hesitant to pre-soak and not get the quick lines going by taking the starch out.
@@JesterJames22 Nice firstly what a great pair of jeans XHS & XHSib XHSbb best of the best ….👍 You definitely want to hot soak these before wearing them 30mins - 1hour with some agitation , remove the shrinkage Sanforized, but unwashed - expect approximately one inch shrinkage in the waist and inseam Other dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist The waist will stretch out approximately one inch with wear All other dimensions that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back to pre-soak/wash size. The break in period will a lot easier after soaking, I wore them dry and from what I remember it was brutal. Then when you finally get around to giving them there first wash your honeycombs set behind the knees are likely to shift . I’ve bought another pair I’m going to start wearing in the new year and will definitely be Hot soaking 👍

Hi yeh there is a bit of stretch with wear in the waist and Other dimensions will stretch proportionately to the waist . Once washed they return back to the original measurements but then stretch back again wear 👍

I was hoping they would stretch out and relax with wear over time in the top block and waist.
I can't tuck in a t-shirt under the waist band or fit anything in my front pockets. Think I should just start wearing them and they will soften and ease up or just or size up?
They sound a tad snug 25oz don’t stretch much in the waist or thigh area…it’s all down to personal preference I buy my jeans with a fitted waist I can wear them without a belt if I wanted too . There going to feel like cardboard at first but soon as you do an initial hot soak there going to shrink. You may have difficulty in getting them on then, they will stretch back to what they are now..
Love both to be honest , not too keen on the IB when New but love the look after a good 10 months + of wear . The XHS love the look from the very beginning..
All depends what part of the world you’re in and how crazy you are and how much you can put up with 😆 I’ve worked in mine when’s it’s been 30 degrees in the UK just because I didn’t want to miss a day still continue it wear jeans all year round ..
