The sounds of that door... I love it. It immediately takes me back to late Friday nights with my PS1, pizza and high school friend.
I think of those days myself man... are you still in touch with your friend? Sometimes it feels good to share the nostalgia with people from one's own past.
@@SurvivalSpheres It's too rare that I actually get to do it but man do I enjoy the occassional shared flashback night. Luckily I was actually almost more of a loner as a kid than as an adult and most of my "friends" were actually family members or other people that lived with me long enough that we still keep in touch fully lol.
Sometimes Leon closes his eyes and he dreams.. Well at least he thinks he does.
Call him crazy but beneath the madness Leon can swear he has done this before.. Many times..
Trenchy, the monsters, the virus, the child, the spy and the lost sister.
Leon knows them all and yet he doesn't know them and when the memories come its like a weight is on him, thats drowning him and he can't tell claire or Ada no matter how hard he tries.
Sometimes Leon doesn't make it out of the city, Sometimes claire doesn't either, Sometimes Ada dies in front of him, Sometimes Sherry doesn't get the cure and claire cries as they put sherry down to end her pain, Sometimes Claire stops him from doing what's right and Sherry Changes just like daddy and kills her first before turning to him and he close his eyes as she kills him too.
Leon thinks he is in hell and that maybe somewhere he did something wrong and now God is making him repeat the same Nightmare over and over and its not just in this city either.
Leon closes his eyes for a moment and he is in spain on a mission forced on him to find the presidents daughter and before he can sigh a relief at escaping racoon city all hell breaks loose and he is infected on deaths door alone and monsters wearing human skin are now trying to kill him and make him become one of them.
He feels strong but he is still vunerable as his head separates from his body many times and over the nightmares he has grown to hate, love and hate Ashley again.
She is unaware and at first he pitys her because she no matter what is useless but eventually he is jealous because she will never remember the suffering.
He meets Ada but no matter how hard he tries she goes on her way again out of his grasp and he is left running against a timer.
Leon closes his eyes again and finally he is with Helena and on a shooting gallery ride against monsters from an action movie.
He likes this nightmare the most because he doesn't feel as powerless. He sometimes tries to tell Helena when the memories manage to come back to him but she never believes him and its like she quickly forgets it like the plot drags her back to the center again.
The one who understands here is Chris red field who through their fight tells him with his eyes to be strong and that one day they will escape from the realm of dreams.

I just listened and I type up what comes to mind.
I've never approached the RE plot in this way = deconstructing the 4th wall. Smart move. So in the end, we, the players, are responsible for Leon's endless nightmare, sorryyyyy haha. Apart from that, the feeling of not being able to change the way of things is a familiar one. We ourselves are playing figures in a chaotic cosmic game.
*Btw you gotta checkout "Daymare 1998", it's from the same team that was on the make of Resident Evil 2 Reborn in 2015 that got cancelled by Capcom.*

@@SurvivalSpheres it just all started because Claire seems extremely thirsty for Leon in the remake...it kinda of spiraled out of control after that.

Many things in life do happen in waveforms.
This track is my favorite for so many reasons. The calm, slow melancholy really brings it together and makes it have such an amazing atmosphere. Genuinely one of the greatest fan made tracks I’ve ever listened to, awesome work!
It seems like for each of my songs there is this one person who is able to perceive it all, possibly even more than myself when I wrote it. This song is for you, obviously, and it's an honor.

I really like the hollow eerie ambiance from this I can imagine this in remake when Leon is forced to leave branagh behind, being unable to ease Marvins suffering.

@@SurvivalSpheres Unfortunately no. They just sort of instantly fall straight down and lay there smoking. It's somewhat funny lol. The only way you can actually do it is with the PC version or back in the day with the gameshark type stuff. I distinctly recall doing it and seeing it but the lack of crows in the lab and flamethrowers in EX battle makes me fairly certain that it was a cheat thing that a buddy showed me.
@@SurvivalSpheres If I recall right the reaction is mostly the same if you use the flame rounds with the grenade launcher.
You've really nailed the sound of despair in this. Most music with a dark feel is soothing to me, but this just gives you a feeling that something is really wrong. Like "You are in danger, and you cannot sleep or it will be the end of you". That photo of Leon with glazed eyes is perfectly fitting, because he looks like he's got some serious sleep depravation going on. At times through this, it reminds me of The People Under The Stairs and the track called Deliverance on Manhunt - ruclips.net/video/edjs7dqyIuA/видео.html

@@SurvivalSpheres Yeah it is one of the more disturbing tracks of the game. There's a cool video which pays great respect to Manhunt.
Because it's surprising how unknown it still is. Mainly because of the media wanting an easy scape goat for violence around the time it was released. Only a few other games have had that "privilege", including GTA, also a Rockstar game 😆😝

The creator of the video mentions something I agreed with totally. That track I linked with you called Deliverance, it's of the last level in the game. And while most of the music throughout is very eerie and dark as hell, there's always a bit of reverb to it. And as a brilliant creator of music, I'm sure you know that reverb creates a sort of openness doesn't it. But that Deliverance track, there is no reverb, and it suits that level absolutely perfectly. It's so claustrophobic and gives you a true sense of chance of danger around any of the tight corners there.
There is no escape from that area unless you deal with the horror which is there. Remind you of any other games? 🤔😜
@@Johny40Se7en Good point about the "reverb" aspect, I fully agree. Besides there are four main ingredients commonly used to create the most traumatic horror "music", and this is the sound of a) baby crying b) dentist at work c) chainsaw and d) pig squeels. But I better stay away from all of that :)
@@SurvivalSpheres Oh bloody hell. I'm very glad you brought all that up. I wasn't aware of the "dentist at work" or the "chainsaw" aspects, but I get why those could induce mental trauma. The dentist is many kids' fears. But just like ones such as arachnophobia, it doesn't often reach a level of understanding so that it grows out of people.
Now, about the pig squealing, you may suspect where I'm going with this one... it's to do with empathy. As Human beings, we have mirror neurons in our brains, so when we see, or hear another animal, be it, Human or non Human, being truly harmed, or in a great amount of stress, our mirror neurons kick in and we feel for them, alas, empathy.
That is the very reason why a particular vile industry hides the way that pigs are treated and barbarically murdered for their body parts. Because most people are genuinely decent and caring, nobody in their right minds would give their money to such horrendous, insane cruelty, no matter "how good it tastes". Pigs squealing and thrashing around violently trying to get away from danger and threat must cause our empathy to go into overdrive.
Remember, despite what the meat & dairy industry shovel at caring people daily, pigs are just as humble and lovely as dogs are, they just look and sound a bit different.
And with the exception of Chinese and Koreans, we all love and care for dogs.
Our heart races when a dog is in danger on film or something. Well, if dog lovers break away from the lies of said conditioning, they'd consciously extend that level of compassion to other animals, including pigs also.

It's great that you stay away from all that though. Stick with "fear of the unknown", because that's a primal fear of every single Human on the Planet, well, except in psychopaths believe it or not.
