Lieberman is the reason why I was terrified for ten years between my parents' 55th and 65th birthdays, that a random diagnosis would have taken either of them from me because they couldn't afford health insurance. Thankfully they made it to 65 and are still in my life. They live while JL doesn't. I won in the end, and I feel sorrow for all families that didn't make it because of JL.

As someone from CT, the intro is a bit glib, but not wrong.
Liebermann was not a good (For-the-people) politician, he ran as and represented Neo-Libs, but had a lot of Neo-Con, Libertarian and Authoritarian pursuits.
It took far longer than it should have for the state to turn on him and reject him.
He really was very similar to a Joe Manchin, which is crazy if you know most of the non-obscenely-rich areas of CT. Because it's not representative of them, but they all kept voting for the incumbent with the D next to his name.
I think that one guy from Milwaukee that got famous in right wing circles for being black and tough on crime (David Alexander Clarke Jr) is also in democratic party based on same reasoning.

Dude was on the take and working for Trump, through his law firm, since 2001. He introduced Betsy Devos (who is married to the son of one of Amway's kingpins) to the Senate, and so much more. Just from the wiki page there's enough circumstance to accuse him of corruption, especially because his positions didn't exactly line up. Chiefly, what made me feel comfortable calling him blatantly corrupt is that he started doing legal defense work for white collar criminals through his law firm as soon as he retired, and a few years after retirement, he started working at the Chinese ZTE think tank and advocated for improved US - China relations (which would be a good thing) even though he's not been one to raise his voice for normalization of relations with the America's Boogeymen before, which leads me to believe they paid him handsomely for his advocacy.
He also threatened to use the filibuster to halt the aca if the public option passed even though 14 years prior he wanted to pass legislation to disallow the filibuster.
The liberal -- amway -- conservative (in the fascist kinda way and also the metternich kinda way, the libertarians are irrelevant here) axis is real and it's newest enemies are children/young adults and tik tok. Edit: it appears amway and those types including citizens united are ideologically motivated to do completely amoral shit for their most cause, no connection to blue dog Dems except maybe by happenstance that Trump is connected to amway, Trump org benefited from the result of citizens united, and Trump bribed Democrats for decades in NY, CT, MA.

Being almost solely a RUclips frog relying on the Hasanabi Industrial Complex to supply me with content, I miss like half the Twitch drama and would probably never notice a drop in hasan's viewership because he never makes a big deal about it. If he started streaming on RUclips then I'd know he's falling off.
I don't have Twitch, but I watch Hasan clips on youtube constantly. Just because someone is not on stream, doesn't mean they aren't on his side. I live abroad and don't agree with a lot of his takes, but ultimately I think he has more of the right of it than most, and is entertaining. Plus, the wide variety of stuff he talks about (true crime, politics, current events, jubilee videos, pop culture stuff etc) gives me tons of content to listen to while I go throughout my day

Tbf I stopped watching for a bit while Hasan was doing the Isreal/ Palestine coverage. I didn't disagree with him or his takes it was just too grisly to watch day in and day out. I don't watch as much anymore not because of his takes on Palestine. It's because the genocide there quickly became so depressing and hopeless that it just made it hard to keep listening.
