Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.

Jubilee went back in time and placed this white baby in a black family. The other participants stood no chance, he was literally raised for this one game.
They ain't have to go back in time there are tons of white people raised by/around black people

It’s pretty ridiculous how quick the chat was to judge Rob, and even when he mentioned that he was raised by a black mom and had a predominately black family, they still couldn’t fully wrap their heads around it. Though I did find it funny how one person (pportiz500) acknowledged it by saying, “oh, we’re judgmental assholes”

@@dietlean1230 Sure, but that’s also why I added the part about “even when he mentioned…they still couldn’t fully wrap their heads around it.”

Chat are followers. they were following hasans lead
Chat is so ignorant to all of that and im glad u pointed it out . They cant really fathom the idea that he grew up black and has to be playing a ”character”
"it just proves that people are a product of their environment" hasan nailed it right there
It also proves that we're more likely to experience race as a social construct, which obviously didn't need any proving. Turns out racism and prejudice are all just based on stupid preconceived notions. They eliminated people for "white" factors like growing up with different vernacular (grape flavor) or being a little too affluent. They kept Rob because he was also a victim of society's hatred of the poor people. Even though many of these men weren't poor, they can relate because the construct of poverty and Intergenerational violence as a result of poverty is just too strong of a mark.
You realize that he just gets credit for something a guy said in the video..
@@Floppy162 And you're giving credit to that guy who heard it from some other guy. What's the issue?
@@Abii140 there is no issue but if 2 people in the same conversation say the same thing you shouldnt credit the one that said it last imo. Even if the first guys discussed this with someoneelse before. Its just a small hint about giving props. if your argument is "noone ever says something original", then why credit at all.
@@Floppy162 'credit' its literally fake internet points
Why is the white guy blindfolded? He already knows he’s white, right?
To immerse himself in the role
Based on how he kept raising his hand I’m not sure lol
Ahaha! That’s a funny point. “Um sir… do you- do you know you’re white? 🤔” I think maybe it’s because it would be weird to be the only one not blindfolded. Perhaps also because not being blindfolded would lead to your answers sticking out 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- we need a reality game show of “the mole” with one straight guy living in a house with 7 gay guys, and they try to figure vote out the straight one. The twist- literally every single one is straight.
Hasans reacted to a similar show before
This is the game show liberals want
playing it straight was what hasan reacted to but its moreso the opposite concept
they had one during covid with 6 girls vs 1 secret guy, but they were all guys and all convinced they were the😊 mole.
@@avr7120 Okay but that's just stupid and obnoxious- can this girl figure out who's not straight? Is gaydar real? Who is best at being straight passing?
A bunch of straight guys- and ideally somewhat homophobic straight guys imo- doing their best to pretend to be gay will still be a bit offensive, but since the joke is they're all straight, mostly we get to poke fun at assholes being assholes so I give it a pass.

N word seems like an easy one (as like a joke), but some people do feel strongly about removing it from discourse/vernacular because of the history of the word. Normally it is older black people, but not always. Depends on how you were raised.
@@nominatorchris5591 Disagree, it carries no weight because you don’t want it too and your presence isn’t know to be against it.
@@nominatorchris5591 I have mainly heard it from people who are boomers, who come from a time where that word DID carry weight. But I have also heard it from millenials and the occasional zoomer, mostly because they have a family member who hold that pain, or those who feel it is better to take it out of the vocabulary than to take the word back and claim it as their own. So while those who have that opinion are in the minority, I just don't think it is necessarily fair to make someone "prove" their "blackness" by having them say it.
But I am white, so it also isn't exactly my place to really be the voice of black people. I just wanted to point that out, as bringing up that "test" as a joke (or not) is a common thing for white people to do.

Speaking as a black person, I feel like other black people have terrible takes on what it means to be 'black'.
That's centuries of being told what it means to be black does. Every power structure will manipulate any identifiable difference to its own ends. Racism was a tool to prevent irish fenians from identifying with black discrimination despite the forms of slavery that so-called fellow whites doled out to them. Asian anti-black racism is the exact same phenomenon into the present, despite all the bullshit they got served from the gold rush to now. Divide and rule.
Felt very performative. I've seen people say things such as "you talk White". It seems pretty horrible and disqualifying of a person existence.
At the end of the day people are a product of their environment. However I'm a white person so what do I know.

Yo I met Phil Lamarr once too. Coolest dude ever. He's also Hermes on Futurama.
I gotta wonder for who's ever (black, but any minority really) in the comments, but is it possible to watch this (the original jubilee) video and not cringe??? I entered this video thinking of how funny and silly it's going to be, but not 5mins in and I'm feeling childhood trauma of performative black bs. I kind of feel like almost nothing is as toxic (or at least cringe) as being asked to prove or trying to prove your racial identity as a minority. It's just bad... because it's asking people to look for stereotypes, it's asking you to perform stereotypes, and it's trying to excuse/dismiss your minority experience.
That’s a good point. I guess it’s just supposed to be a fun game but I think for some people it could be troubling. Did you see Hasan watching a different episode where they’re trying to figure out who the bottom is? As a gay man, it sometimes felt like kind of a similar dynamic, except I imagine it’s way more upsetting to try to prove your Blackness. The bottom video was more about just trying to avoid being stereotyped (because being a bottom is often seen as bad- there is no “upside” for many). Does that make any sense? Maybe not. Anyway, glad you mentioned that because I didn’t really think about how problematic it could be.
to me its nice to see people relate and connect with minority experiences and culture, and the stereotypes theyre looking for are stereotypes from the minority community itself not from an outsider's perspective, so the people involved would probably understand that stereotypes are just stereotypes, plus they were all just being real and themselves and not taking it too seriously, but it would definately be more wholesome if the whole competition for the money thing wasnt there.
@@uS0ra I mean... nah! Maybe at times they were being themselves and wholesome in spurts, but they even say in the beginning that they are playing it up (their blackness).
I kind of feel like, if this has ever happened to you, it's not really fun to have your identity questioned, and being on such a big non-black specific channel makes it feel like they are asking these guys to perform blackness (like it's some minstrel show). It just doesn't feel right, but of course, not going to put it past Jubilee, lol. This is typical cringe stuff from Jubilee.
That said, I hope Hassan was being sarcastic calling this their Black History Month content because I thought about it and with Jubilee he also could have been totally serious because that's another thing I feel like wouldn't be out of their range, lol.
😭🤣
I think the one with 6 white people and 1 Black person is better, and she killed it because Black people already have to conform to white society. Hasan will shit on debate bros then argue with chat about jeans for 10 minutes
Tbf, the problem with debate bros is not the debating itself
@@dftp The problem with debate bros is that there are people who think whining about them is a personality trait. They aren't meaningfully different from any type of content creators. Being a react andy or a video essayist with bisexual lighting won't make someone's content or online persona become any more worthwhile or any less toxic. People just hate debate bros because the concept of justifying or defending the things they believe in is new and scary for them.
@@bertrandkane9678 Not really. Debating is just one form of argumentation and quite a poor one. Debates treat arriving at the truth like a competitive sport rather than a true investigation. It is prone to sophistry, rhetorical tricks, and pandering. When one can and usually gets away with lying, telling half-truths, or leaving out the context in a format where people are given short periods to respond without the moderator calling anyone out. It's worse than competitive sports because at least the referee calls fouls and violations of rules. Debates emphasize rhetorical style and aesthetics over substance.
@@Misterz3r0 You don't think people can lie, tell half truths or leave out context when making a video essay or a reaction video? You must be incredibly naive. You won't be any more or less likely to arrive at the truth by uncritically watching video essays or reaction videos, they're just one sided debates where you already assume that the person making the video is honest and well-informed. Regardless, nobody with half a brain watches debate videos to arrive at the objective truth. They watch them for either entertainment or to learn how people with different views argue their beliefs.
Knowing the truth won't do you any good if you're incapable of convincing others of it and in order to do that you need to be aware of what kind of arguments actual people are actually making. Nobody in the real world is going to sit quitely as you read out your script or blurt out rehearsed lines that sound good in your head, whether they're well researched or not. Refusing to even consider the value of being able to argue for or against beliefs doesn't make you some sort of enlightened intellectual, it just makes you a shortsighted moron.

Am I crazy for thinking that spending $100 on a single pair of jeans is insane? I feel like the shoes make way more sense to spend more on since you’re going to be wearing that pair for a very long time and it’s not like you’ll be switching it out that often unlike pants which you switch up everyday basically
thats why its expensive to be poor. You could buy a 100$ jeans and have em last for years or 5 20$ jeans over the course of the same time. Same money and time, different quality. Not everyone can just drop 100$ on a pair of jeans though
You can get designer jeans for so much cheaper on secondhand/consignment sites!! I can’t imagine paying more for mid jeans just because they have the tags on them
I mean if they are good quality and will last, then no, $100+ is a small price to pay if you won't have to buy another pair in the next 3-5 years. Think of it like boots or shoes, a pair of $300+ boots will last you decades, hell I have some work boots that I have had for 10 years, and they were almost $500.
@@jamespeterson5855 fair enough I mean I get it, especially with shoes/boots personally but I could see the same being true for pants too assuming they last as long and get as much use
The point about these shoes being expensive is that they sometimes cost thousands of dollars and the people wearing them don't even run in them. They're status symbols, not functional items like the jeans.
I had a pair of good jeans last me like 15 years and they still look new. Nowadays there's a lot more jeans for sale that don't last very long, but that's because fast fashion is a profitable business model. Shoes will never hold up as long as a good pair of jeans unless you pay to have the soles replaced every few years...
