Hello Amanda! During the quarentin I restarted to learn English and in the begging of July I discovery embroidery! In my search about embroidery on RUclips I finded your channel, so now I can practice my English and embroidery skills! Thank you so much for your job and thanks for the embroidery floss review! I live in Portugal and here there is another brand called Anchor. I'm using this one now but I'm very curious about DMC.
Jaqueline Morais Hi Jaqueline! First off, you’re doing great with English, i find it really hard to learn another language, so compliments to you on that! Also, I’m so glad you enjoy the channel. I have been curious about Anchor myself, so maybe I’ll have to check that brand out soon!
I'm still kinda new so I first got a couple brands off Amazon & thought they were okay. Then I tried DMC. I'll never go back! The cheap ones are just that: cheap. Too fuzzy & kinda rough, which my hands just don't like. I'm keeping the cheapy threads to use for random craft stuff & sticking to DMC for hand embroidery. 👍🏻
Hi, this is a good video, however, the friendship thread I own has a really unever quality and I wouldn't advise people buy it so much. Some colors were fine, but some others just snapped, badly. For other options, J&P Coats has individual skeins that are cheaper than DMC and still good quality. It stitches very well. And for people in the US, I've heard good things about Sullivans. I only own 3 skeins of it and I haven't worked with it yet, but the floss looks very soft and shiny and is very comparable to DMC's texture. They also have a good range of metallic floss and such for people who are into that.

I’m new to embroidery and was wondering if 100% cotton floss is better than a cotton-polyester blend or even a 100% polyester floss?
Cotton is definitely easiest to use!
I took a look at some of my threads and i too use DMC but also have coats & clarks. Ive always stuck to them maybe out of habit.
Hey... really appreciate a bunch of those threads but not sure how to order..I'm from st
Vincent in the Caribbean
Will like some crochet thread as well let me know what to do please
Thank you so much for your review!
Sharon Scott you’re welcome!
