Was planning my first overnight camp out in the van, but then my luck showed its true colurs and i had problems.... ended up buying a new diesel heater.

Hey Steve. Just watched this and the original install vid. Both very informative. I’m about to install the same in my Vivaro.. Quick question … the jubilee clips holding the exhaust and air intake inside the turret look very awkward. What did you use to tighten them? Also, did you raise the van at all, or work directly off the floor ? Cheers

Very awkward yes 😂 lots of patience required.. used a small thin spanner to tighten them which took quite a while to be honest. And yes the van was raised slightly, I could of done it with the van on the floor but wanted that little extra clearance. Good luck buddy 👍

Mine will keep the error code active untill I remove the power from the heater. After that it will go through the start up cycle without errors.

@@South_West_Steve I used a d1lc old and bullet proof.
Then when I got a sprinter I fitted a d4…
I’ve tried the Chinese ones and these are so much more reliable.
I’m a believer in trying things before handing advice out 😂
The d4 does use a lot more fuel though.

There are military grade bed bags you can literally sleep on top of the snow and be warm to the point its too warm
