Kelsy I thank you every day for getting me hooked on doubles! I find it very sad that a lot of players don’t like it. What’s better than winning something with a friend?
Man! This was very informative and quite fascinating! I will admit I was in the ball park of doubles being overwhelming ( ASD coming through) but now knowing about the random doubles. That just sounds like so much fun!
Peace. Great video. With over a decade of competitive Smash experience, I much prefer doubles over singles. There's so much more to it. First off, nothing like the feeling of defending your home turf with your homie when players come from out of state or other countries, or going out there with your partner to take names. Traveling is also safer with a partner if you're both traveling together. It's nice to be able to strategize before or during a set as well. They may see something I didn't or I may have noticed a pattern they didn't. It's also dope because when your spirit is effected, they can charge you back up or you can charge them, keep your mentality from slipping into the negative. I find it easier to push and grind and maintain my analytical mind because I don't wanna let my partner down. I have a decent singles mentality, but I tend to focus on learning more than actually trying to place, so I'm indifferent if I didn't place very highly if I'm satisfied with application of new tech or encountering new scenarios I haven't seen before or the opponent has a great approach I wanna try to adopt. In doubles, I'm pushing for the win, and with the right partner, it's fun no matter what. There's just a lot to doubles that opens up the game a lot and makes it more fun, I think. I tend to prefer watching doubles as well. The idea of teamwork adds that extra dimension to everything so it's just a much more satisfying viewing experience. That's my thought, anyway. There's more I could say, but great video. Peace. ✨
I'm a casual viewer and player of doubles. I like what doubles offers. With the combos, the synergy with teams, and the style. I've enjoyed more as I watched as well as play.
I like doubles there a great warmup and are good fun when u wanna chill. One negative i get is some chars dont pair together well. I also hate randubs cuz i play like 8 chars well and and 3 of my main 5 are miis which dont come on random. Also i heard kirby isnt that good in doubles compared to other chars. Or is that just kirby being kirby?
"No one" plays or cares about doubles because frankly, Smash Bros these days is a ego fest where the 16-24 year old players want to prove to everyone else that they're a better person because they beat them at a video game, and 1v1's are the place to do that. That's not true for everyone obviously, but I've seen that mentality a lot of places. It's why money matches are a thing more or less. It's a shame too, I really like doubles as well, and low key it's more fun than singles.

Amazing vid homie, I really hope this opens players and TO's eyes how special and fun dubs can truly be compared to singles
I prefer doubles to singles and you helped me out a lot starting off! Hopefully it can grow bigger in the future!
