@@sportrxeyewear the base layer having it is just huge as well I didn’t like how the regular face shield sat around my neck just didn’t feel comfortable under my outer shell the hoodie now replaces me even needing a beanie on colder days
Hey @sportrx you guys said in your video there are newer goggles now with the anti-fog coating inside the lens and not on the inner surface anymore. Meaning you dont have to worry about accidentally wiping away the anti-fog coating anymore. Do you know which brands/goggles/lenses have this new technology? Thanks!
What up Justin! Zeal goggles are leading the charge against unwanted fog buildup with their Everclear Anti-Fog coating that, as you stated, doesn't wisk away or come off when cleaning the backside of the goggle lens. 🏂Check 'em out!

Are you going to do a video on the new lens colors? I am especially interested in the Dark Grey, Rose Gold, Sage Gold and Garnet... is Garnet a New Name vor the prizm rose? Is the rose gone? Does the garbet look like the rose?

Hey Liam! We've never tested the 2 together but Anon goggles are compatible with most helmets on the market.
You guys are so great 🤌🤌 I have the anon wm4's from last year and I can attest to how quality of a feel and build they are. I must say though, my dream goggle would have anon's features (mfi, build quality and feel, magnetic interchangeable lenses, getting 2 lenses with each pair, etc) with oakley's prizm lenses 😆

thank you for the videos! what would be really great is if you could do videos to show by brand what it is like to look through the different lenses for a given day so we can have a better idea of the tint colour and how the iridescent coating affect the view
It's a great concept! It has been a bit tough in practice because a camera lens still falls short of the human eye. It always comes out looking less impressive than when you're wearing them. I truly don’t understand the hype around the Smith I/O Mag goggles. I bought them a few days ago, and wore them on the hill today. I don’t think I’ve ever had a pair of goggles fog up more in 36 years of skiing. I would avoid at all costs. The nicest phrase I can think of to describe these goggles is “worse goggles I’ve ever worn.” Also the inside of the lens was wet with condensation (a continuous problem throughout the day), so I gave it a very (I mean VERY) light wipe with my bare thumb, and the goggles now have a MASSIVE scratch on the inner coating. Maybe I’m taking crazy pills or perhaps I just got a bad pair. I’ve owned many Smith goggles over the years, but the I/O Mags are absolute and utter garbage. A foggy dumpster fire. Going to try to return them tomorrow. Will look into the Anon M4. Hopefully they’re better. All that negativity aside, nice job on the video. Very informative and entertaining.

Sorry to hear that, Matt! Could be you got a defective pair, but that is a very interesting occurence you're describing. Smith's anti-fog properties are usually very effective at combating moisture buildup. If you'd like a second opinion from our opticians, send some photos to info@sportrx.com and we'll assess and get back to you with an answer. And definitely give the M4 a try-on as well! 🏂

I've enjoyed quite a few with them and they haven't for me! What I've been saying is that if that happens, you have more to be worried about than your goggle.

The 4d Mag is a top performing goggle that has made many 'best of' lists in years past, but had to make way for some newer models this season. Still a great addition to anyone's goggle ensemble!

Does the Oakley line miner work with the smith maze helmet
Not entirely certain on that one, Ethan as we've yet to try them on together. However, the Line Miner does pair well with most helmets out there!

Agreed! The 4D Mag was certainly a front-runner in consideration, but ultimately it didn't make the cut. Still a great goggle!

4D mag’s are Smith’s top of the line, not the I/O mag. At least for me they are the most comfortable ones, way more comfortable than the M4’s

Fair point! We were just really excited about it. We also have such extensive experience with snow goggles that we were able to include it with confidence, but that it is admittedly a bit of a risk.
