@killgruz, in order for the 256 world code to work, you must beat the game normally, and possibly through the second time around, a.k.a., the Star Worlds, on the SNES/SFC/Wii versions of Super Mario All-Stars. However, I am not sure if these codes also work on the SNES/SFC versions of the game, let alone with the GBC port of the game.
Hey killgruz I forgot to say that you have to press the b button on the title screen to change the world, some of the worlds are really weird. I forgot to say thank you for featuring me in you video.
@Zaleucus Agreed and what sucks is it just wastes time. If I was him I would keep a small ledger of all the time wasters and ignore them when they post nonsense. I don't see why these people that just have to see what a "funny word" does...don't do it themselves. Downloading an emulator with a Game Genie takes less time than it did to type this post.
The 256 world code works by allowing you to warp to any world from the start, like when you beat the game, you get to choose any world from 1-8, but that code let's you go to any world past world 8 in that fasion
The FDS version of Super mario bros. I used a Rom on a computer it does something diffrent it mess-up the graphic of the fire flower, and starman power-up, everything else behave normal.
PALPOG: Bowser in every level PALPIG: Glitched Scenery KEYPLG: Randomized Collisions GOBBLE: Wacked-up Graphics SKULLL: Mario stops in place when he jumps TOPLOK: Powerups can't move VIOLET: Breaking bricks launches Mario into space STOLEN: Mario's movements and enemy behaviours go out of control
One of my favorites that I created and memorized since the 1990s: NNPPPO = Very long Invincibility, but normal music. It can actually wear out if you wait a long time, but going down a pipe or up a vine will reset the invincible timer.
I had your channel recommended to me the other day and have been watching your stuff as I've been lying in bed sick. It's been a comfort watch for me, appreciate your stuff, my dude!
TPZLPT - If you jump while walking or move while jumping the floor will be disabled. Use some other code so mario doesnt die from pits. YAZYAZ - Goombas spawn and despawn randomly weird camera movements and you could go through the left side of the screen but you will fal from the right side. VGAVPO - If you run and jump you get teleported high up and stay there for a few seconds. You can easily go over the flagpole. MARIOB - Grab a mushroom to see what happens. Note :- Tested both of these on an emulator not sure if it will work on original hardware.
Here are two codes of my creation! POSTEO- Some Goombas’ are turned into “peanuts”, or more accurately, corrupted Hammer Brother sprites. This code actually seems to stabilize corruptor codes like YEAAAA, because some of the Bowsers are turned into peanuts, there is less clutter. Mix em together some time. SEGATO- The famed actor and promoter of Sega consoles apparently has destroyed ALL OF THE FLOORS, and has stained the screen SEMEN-white! You cannot clear the level, because... I’ll let you see for yourself...
@SoulSystem The background becomes eye-searingly white, and the floor vanished beyond the half-way point of the level, making it incompleteible, without a jump code like AEPLLG to assist you.
posteo did not work expectedly, if you get hit with a gomba with a koopa shell on screen and with a goomba killed and one alive in a group (the one that you got hit with), the game will crash and the goomba you got hit with will turn into a koopa edit: if a goomba dies on the end of the screen it will turn into a hammer bro
Hye Killgruz, Super Mario 256W allows you to access glitchy worlds beyond worlds 1 through 8. To play them, put in the game genie code and then press the B button on the titlescreen to scroll up the worlds past World 8. Choose a letter (or glitched graphic) and then press the Start button to enter that world and play it. 256W does contain a lot of duplicate levels from the main game, but it also includes some truly weird ones and some that you can't complete without using yet other GameGenie codes. That's what you were doing wrong.
Try this one KILLLU - Once you get big and jump, you are warped to the next level. You keep warping through levels and negative levels until the game freezes up
@killgruz - Thank you! This video brought back some childhood nostalgia. If you’re interested, I’ve got a whole whack of music editing codes! Try NIPPPP or GLPPPP, EIPPPP, or VGPPPP. Basically, if you end any code in **PPPP, it should do something to the music. A couple other fun codes to try: SUEISA - makes Mario (and Luigi) invincible, and he actually thrives off enemies (he can still take damage from fire arms and hammers). SZLIVO - this was actually the 3rd code of Codemasters “always stay big” 3-code whopper. By itself, it is a little fun. Try getting your mushroom, and your fire flower, and then run into an enemy. Cheers!
when you used the level select and walk through walls code it was like everyone you met before teaming up with you to find out what the mysterious last code had in store
Interestingly, as well as ironically, and coincidentally, enough, in Super Mario Brothers Special, there is a power up that is simply referred to as a Wing that also allows you to swim through these levels. I think that Super Mario Brothers swim codes, as well as the Super Mario Brothers Special Wing power up, made flying power ups in Mario video games, especially the P-Wing, a reality.
For the best compatibility with Game Genie codes, a bare SMB cartridge would be ideal, since there would be no risk of the GG patching random bytes of the multi-cart boot ROM and crashing it. I do believe the multi-carts do have SMB1 in the same form as the bare cart, just that it has to be booted from the game selector bank. Since the Game Genie codes used are six letter there is no comparison to enusre it is on the banks for the SMB program and not in the boot ROM.
The castle has a solid block on the right side of the doorway when mario collides with that block, mario sprite goes behind the castle making it look like he walked into the castle.
2 things 1. And here I thought I was the only one making the joke at 0:20 2. With some OXX codes they change the blocks. NTLOXX for example does just that. With The OXX extension changing blocks, one time was a block used for springs, it gets you stuck. Using one turns into a flagpole.
im getting bored so i guess ill comment the things ive found so far TTLOXX - removes all bricks YAZOXX - bricks are a background element? NTZOXX - bricks, ? blocks turn into a weird block reading F MOMO
@@itsgruz thanks! :D I tried it some time ago, almost any icon in the maps are selectables as stages ( pirámids, rocks, etc), the best things that I saw were a playable version of the world map but with garbage tiles, and in the whistle world you can get to some crazy worlds too
I tried a similar thing while working on making a code that lets you enter any level. It turns out the hammer bro stages are always there, but if you don't find one on the map it doesn't go into the stage with you. Also, the collision in the levels themselves worked like that code that let you walk through walls in the video, but you couldn't hit blocks.
Interesting. three years prior he was soft spoken, but a very nice type of person...Compared to his 2022 and 2023 videos where he's a lot more energetic and upbeat, always excited to play ridiculous Super Mario Bros. or other NES/Famicom Genie/Cheat Codes and go from there...Man, it took him just a year or two years to become the person he is this year.
Aight so here's a few codes I've found that are incredibly fun. TTLLLL - low gravity EOZOOO - the flagpole disappears UXZNEA - the music sounds like it's beatboxing And finally, EITTZP, which I had listed as "chaos edition", but I forgot what it does. I have a ton of mario 3 ones, but I'll just list a few mario 1 codes here.
try this OOOPIS it works with super Mario bros and duck hunt one when you die it puts you in weird levels and depending of the place you die it puts you in other weird levels. Its fun to explore the most level possible :3
Try the code INSANE, yes its a real code and I found it, it's a graphics corrupter, not that good of one but still funny combined with what the code is.
1. GVAOPP + KOOPAS + SSASSA -- just try it 2. TVENAY - weird, vines everywhere 3. TVENAS - messes up sound FX when collecting coins 4. TVPNAY - messes up music and crashes game after you clear a level 5. PIGPAS - goalpost loop at end of level 6. YANEVT - corruptor (note, you must hold a for the game to progress at all, including pressing a+start at the start menu to begin) Perhaps try TVPNAY + TVENAS + PIGPAS?
As long as you’re healthy, it’s okay to take time getting videos up. I’ll take the high quality from your dedication and attention to detail over pumping out poorly made stuff any day. Take care of yourself. Health should be your number one priority.
OTVUYN - Enemies will randomly re-spawn from the ground, air or brick blocks. This code was tested on 'Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet'.
I was using the "STAGEO" (the one that makes all enemies throw hammers) code and I wanted to see what would happen if I changed some letters around. After a few attempts I stumbled across "LTAGEO." It's truly something. If it doesn't work try it on the non-duck hunt version
Here's another code: "PIGPIG". I got it by accidentally misspelling PIGPOG. All it does is get rid of the background decorations. Again, this is the original SMB1 and might not work on duck hunt
"CBTSUK" - You no longer interact with tiles after jumping "STAGOO" - All enemies are frozen in place and their corpses stick around as well. "EEVEEE" - Lots of pipes, the top left piece of clouds, the letters "F, Y, and I" and coins turn into ? blocks, among other shit. Purely graphical as far as I can tell "SENPAI" Lots of pipes and pieces of those platforms that are in 1-3. Make sure not to go down the pipe in 1-2. Again, all of these codes were run on emulated not duck hunt SMB1.
Hey Killgruz, I got one for you. NEYNEY makes some enemies disappear. If I observed it correctly it mostly affects "double spawns", like two Goombas become one and some disappear entirely like the two Koopas in World 1-2. I tested this on a normal Mario Bros cartridge, not the Mario and Duck Hint combo. A sign of working code is if you see only one Goomba instead of two past the second pipe in the game.
A lot coming up soon here on Killgruz! Make sure to ring the bell to turn on those notification when I've got a new video! Thanks!

SXIOPO was the infinite lives code that came packed in the booklet
After beating the game, you can also do level select by pressing B button at the title screen the same way. No game genie necessary.
Hey. Have you ever tried new super mario bros Wii or DS hacks? Usually they compensate for the orginal's easiness.

Hey killgruz I forgot to say that you have to press the b button on the title screen to change the world, some of the worlds are really weird. I forgot to say thank you for featuring me in you video.
Yep. Selecting world B was always one of my favs cuz the enemies and stuff were always random each time you played that level.
