- I was so excited about this show because it’s my first one of the October-May season, and I wanted to show y’all my new set up. On day 2, Mother Nature had other ideas. The rain and wind was ferocious, and side-lone winds just wrecked my tent. Fortunately I lost just a few pieces, but others were not so lucky.

So sorry to see your art broken or wet😢you have a great attitude about it. I can’t wait to see what you make from the broken glass!
I'm so sorry this happened. I'm a glass artist and have had this happen as well. Please show the videos of making the wine glasses, they were beautiful before they got broken. Then show us what you do with the pieces. I'm sure whatever you do with them will also be beautiful.
Oh.. I am so sorry you had such an unlucky storm come along. Thank goodness you did not lose more inventory! Thank goodness you were not hurt! That would have been awful!

Freak storms happen!! My son and I share a booth at most shows. One year during the Peter Anderson Festival in Ocean Springs, MS, we got caught in a freak storm first thing in the morning. I always set up my gridwall to help anchor my corners. We quickly dropped sides and zipped up. During the storm, the zipper opened and a lady climbed in with us. She bought something from each of us while we waited. So much of our art got wet and ruined, but the glass booth next door was destroyed. Festivals are a challenge for sure.
1.I am so glad you and hubby were safe.
2.I am thankful you didn't loose all your beautiful creations.
3.What a hard way to get the tent you wanted.
4.The wood based items would dry better if flat on cake/cookie type racks for more even drying and airflow.
5. Again, I am THANKFUL you are safe.
I hope you show those videos anyway. Doing so will give you sometime to breathe and plan while things dry.

Oh Lord, I’m so sorry this happened to you and the other vendors. Thankfully no one was hurt. As traumatic as it was I know from watching you that you will bounce back. Do you carry vendor insurance ?

It’s a pain in the a** to set up. I’ve tried that. Plus, it takes up a lot of booth space.
