Magazine Size (70-80s Indies). I have slabbed at CGC Love and Rockets #1 & #2, TMNT Vol 1 #3 & #4, Raphael #1,and Foom #2, and Last Ronin #1 signed 6 times!
I don't have any magazines graded yet, but I would go with CGC because that's what all my other graded comics are with. I only have one CBCS-graded comic.
I wish BCW would make a plastic bin for graded magazine sized comics, I have a ton of them just lying in Tupperware containers because they don’t make bins big enough.
I just got back four magazines from CGC with the new case. Very, very solid and thick! Major improvement. I slabbed Warrior #1, RoboCop #1, Vampirella #31 (classic Frazetta Luana cover), and Heavy Metal #54 (in demand Achilleos HM movie promo cover). I put magazines in nice tall adjustable wood shelves rather than boxes.
I just got some magazine cgc graded cases back and they're amazing the new cases very sturdy very solid it's night and day compared to the old cgc magazine cases oh, my only complaint with the magazine grading through cgc is there AR way over strict on high-priced a high price magazines I have a 9.8 magazine that they gave a 9.4 grade and they don't give graders notes 4 books that are graded 8.5 or 9.0 that's my complaint with the magazine grading of cgc other than that I really never had problems with cgc
I get my Vampirella and Savage Sword of Conan graded by CGC. The new magazine holders are awesome. I’m sending in a Sports Illustrated # 1 soon too. It was up in a attic for 70 years but looks NM-ish
CGC has sent me my magazine back damaged not once but twice. I just got it back again Monday for the second time damaged worse than the first time. Looks like glue splatter all over the inside front and back. Tons of light scratches on the inside holder. And it looks like they cracked it to take the shard out and used the same holder. I originally sent it in because it had a shard of plastic inside. And it took a year and a half to get it. I called them and they just said we will reach out to you in 1 to 2 business days. Smh
I have a bunch of the I Lusiphur magazine size comics from Mulehide. I wanted to get my number 1 sent off to CBCS as it's signed, and they're the only company I know who verifies. This is great news for me!
Great to finally have a mag case that won't flex and crack. I myself like custom labels. If CBCS could create some custom labels I would send them some business instead of CGC.
A CBCS slab is a better product, and th service is as subjective. So yer tellin me a LABEL makes a CGC item just worth more by default?! That's effing stupid AF.
CBCS has led the way on better cases. Their magazine cases have resembled their comic cases for a little while. Seems like CGC has been playing catch up for a while, but still keeping a lions share of the market. If CBCS would try to get a better more original label, maybe their product could be more competitive and respected. Once auction prices are similar between the two slab companies, confidence could help competition, and better options in the hobby. It would be nice to see an exceptional label on slabbed books in the market! Seems like most feel that the CBCS label is what's holding them back, although I've always felt that the CGC header was only marginally better. The CGC black & gold pedigree is the only really good looking label in the market.

Newton rings ARE those oily stains that occur when the inner well touches the case. Not sure what Guru thinks Newton rings are?...

Plastic at CBCS is MUCH better than CGC. The clarity is much better so I had to chuckle when it was said different.
Too bad they didn't improve on the label. Change font or label color to distinguish from CGC.
