Hey Jim! I've been curious about pawpaws for a few years and wanted to add some to my yard. I've found some in the past out in the woods and I was thinking about transplanting them. I'm cautious because I read they don't transplant very easily. Any experience or suggestions you could share? Any precautions or preparations to consider prior to attempting this? Hey Jim, I have heavy red clay soil in my area. would it be worth it to use an auger to make a 24-30in wide by 3-4ft deep hole and mix in compost in for the pawpaw tree?
