Some addendums (and corrections if applicable)... - Stage Ready Sound: 2011 is widely known to have this, with its famous heartbeat. But it _could_ be argued that 2006 was the first to have this, with the transition sound & lights effect out of the postcard. The jury is still out on this one! -- In addition, 2012 did not have an official SR sound (it came back in 2013). However, in rehearsals it appears several test versions were played out, inspired by Azerbaijani traditional musical instruments. My theory is they weren't used due to their duration being several seconds long - but you never know, what could have been!
i'm so glad you focused on the technical excellence of the broadcast, this year was so overshadowed by drama and i'm beyond fed up hearing about it. the team deserve a huge amount of props and recognition !! they pulled off so many amazing feats
Just watched it, and you’ve done such an amazing job again! Every year, you keep raising the bar. Even though this year felt a bit chaotic, seeing the effort behind it reminded me why I love this competition so much.
AAA! Thanks so much, super glad you like! And I agree, it was a particularly crazy year, already well covered online - so just focusing on the otherwise impressive production and high effort behind the scenes. Massively looking forward to seeing your 'What If' / design concept videos into next year!
I'm so in love with the dynamic light grid that can change the rotation and y-position individually It looks so sick, especially when used in a dome shape like it is at the end of nemos performance e.g. (they used it in another performance more prominently but I don't remember haha)
21k views for a amazing, behind-the-scenes with interviews, good script and editing is in the lowest level. You deserve better! I has seen this video atleast 3 times, full length.
Hi Fernand! Love your work, amazing documentary for those who are inspired to know how such a beautiful show comes to life. May I ask you for some advice? I have a university degree in Media Production from Toronto, and I currently work as an operations manager for a well-known AV company. I grew up watching Eurovision every year and it is the one TV special I have stayed dedicated to throughout my 24 years of living. My long-term dream (sounds so cliche lol I'm sorry) is to work alongside the amazing crew that makes Eurovision what it is - how do I get there? or how can I start connecting to the crew that makes this vision come true? What can I do to increase my chances of getting my foot through a small crack in the door?
Wow!!! I have discovered this video today and It is full of details and very good commentaries for this year great EUROVISION!!! As live Audience inside Malmö Arena was brilliant and SPECTACULAR how every worked and all available news this edition!!! Very well done Sweden, SVT and of course, Malmö!!! Other strong point was the security👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇸🇪
Good point! It could also be argued that it was the sound at the end of the postcard transitioning into the song, so 'kind' of a stage ready before it was a Stage Ready sound, haha. Bonus fact: 2012 officially did not have a SR sound but it appears they were testing one (or a few) during rehearsals. Never know what could have been...
22:44 Pretty sure that's wrong. As far as I remember, LiveEdit wasn't used in a main ESC production for the first time in 2024. DR was using it too for their ESC 2014 production, and I remember hearing/reading somewhere that it was created specifically for Eurovision/DR needs by the Danish team.
The PSF look is just ugly. I’d get it if the whole show was produced that way (although I’d still strongly prefer interlaced video or 50 fps progressive) but if you look closely, the graphics are still shown in interlaced format so it just seems like an afterthought. And they also screwed up the PSF settings for Sweden’s performance in the final, hence why the performance looks so stuttery and ugly compared to the semifinal.
I mean the content is aboslutely amazing. But please at least invest some money in proper audio recording for your own bits. you get a nice DJI Mic prosumer set for 150 bucks.. Or if your flashback covid student seminar style is your thing then go ahead :D
Your video just reminded me how absolutely unfair the disqualification of Joost Klein was! You video like the EBU’s attitude is to pretend the show was good when I fact whatever the production value were the EBU allowed the intimidation of artist while being over zealous in it punishment of The Netherlands especially in the light of the Swedish prosecutors comments. I now routinely avoid all RUclipsrs who do not yell this as they truely are, that includes you.

Absolutely! It was a pretty crazy year unlike one seen before, but the production itself was arguably top notch!
THE LONG AWAITED, FERDINAND IS BACK!

Genuinely one of if not the best Eurovision videos every year, you outdid yourself this year! Amazing:)

I agree, those light fixtures are super versatile! Estonia's one was impressive too, in a completely 'random' pattern
I love these please dont give up!
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONGGGG 🔥🔥🔥

You GENIUS!
What an INCREDIBLY well done documentary. Super interesting. Thank you so much for this! 🍿
I saw you filming outside the arena but I was too scared to come up and say hi, didn’t wanna interrupt you. Love your content Fernand
Ah you should have said hello! Thanks for stopping by 😊

Great VIdeo! But i have one question didnt the Stage Ready start in Athens 2006, cuz it had light and sound effect before the song started

Yay
Great documentary!!
Glad you’re back. I was worried about this years episode 😅. Your production has really reached a big level! Keep up with these amazing videos.
37:00 days until the next year in may
Not noticed that finland had nicely hidden backing vocals.
This is the one i want rn
just wondering do you have jury and televote full theme

The tech has to be impressive because the acts are beyond shyte. You can't polish a turd, but you can use smoke and wizardry to mask it.
The production was ok, austria…
It was great honestly, you're pointing out the one mistake during the three live shows
@@tonyem5458 last year's production was so much better tho. Awesome camera work, 60fps instead of 50, it even lagged on some scenes like Sweden.
DOUZE POINT MADE MY FINNS. Not swedes
