I want to warn you that Lisa's brushes are addictive; once you buy them, it’s difficult to stop making future purchases))) So far this is my second day of using this set and I’m very happy that I bought them. These are the most realistic watercolor brushes you can find. Thank you so much, Lisa!
Haha!! 😂 Maybe I need a warning label on my products 😅❤️ Best compliment!!! 🙏 Thank you SO much for your incredible comments and feedback, I'm so happy you are enjoying the brushes! Thank you for taking the time to leave such great feedback. Happy painting!
Just got these brushes and they are awesome and complement the previous AquaReal brushes perfectly. Lisa you have somehow managed to take the complexity out of the process whilst still being able to optimize the results. Amazing brushes and as ever you have thought out everything to the last detail to make the creative experience so wonderful without being caught up in technical mumbo that can be evident in other packs that are out there. As ever Lisa - you are a star ! 👏 x
Wow Steven!! You've kind of left me speechless!! I so appreciate your thoughtful comment and incredible feedback. Thank you so much for taking the time, it means a lot!
Lisa, you are brilliant! Not only do you make incredibly good products but your support is off the chart! I can’t even begin to say how many brush sets I’ve purchased in the past and because there were no supporting materials, I could never get the results I hoped for. Your documents and tutorials and videos have changed all that. I love, love, love your brushes and through your teaching, I am able to apply your tools to create artwork that I feel good about. Great job! I can’t wait to put these brushes to good use! With love from Oregon!
That's the best compliment ever!! To know you find the supporting material so useful and that it helps you create your own artwork you love is literally the best thing I could read!! Thank you so much for taking the time to give me your feedback, reading your comment has made my day 😘 Wishing you many happy hours of creating!❤️
This is your best set yet, Lisa! I watched this tute when I first bought it, but after using it a bit I realized I needed to come back and take notes to catch all the little tips & tricks you use for each brush- better with flicks, drags, or circular strokes, whether to use as smudge or reg brush, on which layer, etc. I learn best by writing a detailed account and following your steps. Then I better understand how to manipulate the brushes do what I want. The one small flaw I found with AquaReal 1 was not being able to vary the intensity/transparency of the all-rounder with either pressure or tilt. I’m still mystified by the Procreate brush studio, so I gave up trying to adjust it myself. The universal brush in this set does EXACTLY what I wanted! When I saw that, I bought AquaReal 2 immediately. I’m looking forward to learning all the ins and outs of this set. I have 9 other Procreate watercolor sets (too many!), but haven’t yet found a watercolor “baby bear”. I’m hoping AquaReal 2 is it! Thanks for taking the time to make this-if you want to make more, I’ll watch them!
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you are enjoying the new brushes! That's a great way to learn and get the most out of the brushes 🤗, I wanted to show the intention of each and then pass that on so you can find a workflow that suits your style. Thank you for the detailed feedback and lovely comments, I really appreciate it so much! Hope you will continue to enjoy exploring the set. Happy painting ❤️
Bought the brushes as I have the first set as well…love them! The tutorial was a great plus as it helps us to understand how to use these brushes. I love watercolor and learning digital watercolor is so much fun and I find it useful. Thank-you Lisa for another wonderful brush set! 😊
Your Procreate watercolour brushes are by far the best I've seen. The effects are so realistic. The workflow makes so much sense as if painting with real paint.
This is my first ever comment on RUclips, your brushes are game changer, I love them so much already!Could you please please make more tutorials?specially flowers or botabicals in general?I've watched this video a hundred times already! :D can't get enough!

Thank you so much for your great comments! So glad you're enjoying using the brushes! I love the birds in my garden too! Their song fills my office everyday which is amazing 😊
I purchased these brushes and then did a class with someone else and ended up using these. Then saw the link to this class. Both the brush set and the class are amazing. You can see and hear the experience of real water colour come through. I am so looking forward to doing more and more. And, if you offer more classes like this jug one, I will be there. So great to learn by following along in the file you provide.
Thank you so much for sharing that!! Your amazing feedback means the world, and reading how much you enjoy the brushes and tutorial makes my day, thank you!! ❤️ I'm hoping to do more tutorials very soon x
I just purchased these from your website, I have the Aqua Real 1 and they are fantastic. I can't wait to play with these new brushes. Likewise, I think these are one of the best and more realistic watercolor brushes for procreate available right now, and believe me I have purchased lots of brushes already. Also, lovely tutorial, Thanks!
@@Lisaglanz I appreciate your sensitive, very caring way of explaining your fantastic tools. It is always a great pleasure for me to follow your tutorials. The gift you give us is extraordinary 💚
If you want watercolor tools that work for illustration and texture, stop collecting brushes and just get these tools because they just work for professional results They may not make you a creative Lisa Glanz, but you will get closer ... just find your style and be happy. That goes for all the other brush tool sets as well. Nice products. Thanks Lisa.
The pressure settings are always set to the default with Dynamic Scaling turned on. I create all my brushes with the default setting to accommodate all users so that no special settings are required to use the brushes. Hope that helps!
Hi! I’m looking at the AquaReal original set and at the AquaReal 2. Is the sequel set better than the original? Or do they complement each other? Do the sets have different brushes? I don’t know which one to purchase. Thank you 😊
Those are great questions 🤗 The original AquaReal set is based on classic watercolour finish which is more even toned and refined. It has everything you need to create beautiful paintings. The new AquaReal 2 set also has everything you need but is more textured which includes canvases that are more grungy in texture and have a higher contrast. The set also includes blenders specifically designed to create interesting bleeds and seeps which can add to a more "messy" textured look if that's more your style. The sets have all new brushes, no repeats. They can be used together or independently. So it depends on your preferred style of painting 😊 If you like more textured results with watermarks and granulation, then the new textured AquaReal will be great for that.
Hi Lisa, I just bought your brushes the other day and after viewing this video, I can’t help but notice that they seem to be behaving a little different for you then they are for me and I was wondering if it’s because I’m using the latest iPad (M4, 13” 2024) and the new pencil pro. I did notice your using the older pencil and therefore an older iPad. I love the AquaReal 2 and was hoping it might be just a tweak to make them behave the same as what I’m seeing. Thank you. 🙏
I just wanted to add that this morning, I installed the brushes and paper on my old iPad with pencil (I gave to my wife 😊) and yes, they behave just like your video. In other words the latest hardware behaves quite different with your brushes. I’m sorry to be such a pain but, is this something that can easily be corrected?
Hi! It sounds like you might not have Dynamic Brush Scaling turned on. To check, go to Actions menu, Prefs, then make sure the Dynamic Brush Scaling is on. This setting ensures that both brushes that make up the dual brushes (which the watercolours brushes are) behave the same way when you apply pressure. I also recommend resetting your Pressure & Smoothing which is found under the Prefs menu, make sure you press "reset all". Hope that helps! If you're still having issues please send me an email so I can assist you better - RUclips is a but clumsy when it comes to troubleshooting problems. You can pop me an email to help@lisaglanz.com, Please include screenshots so I can assist you further should you need more help. Thank you!
OMG, yep that was it! I must have made those changes in preferences years ago per someone else’s thinking. Thank you so much for your quick response. You and your work are amazing, thank you.
Hi Lisa , I am from Thailand, and I have bought your aquarel 1 and 2 , it’s wonderful brushes, but if I could learn it more to draw like the girl you have painted in the showcase of the brushes, I am beginner and would like to draw like you , I have been trying for a while but it’s kind a difficult for me , so… do you have some courses for this ? Please let me know, Thank you
Hi!! So glad you're enjoying the brushes! I have several classes on my website, however they don't cover drawing the girl specifically but include techniques etc that you can apply to your work. I'll include the link in case you want to have a look: www.lisaglanz.com/courses/ I also have a few drawing tutorials on my RUclips channel, not sure if you've had a chance to look. The beginning stages of learning to draw can be frustrating, and seem like you are not improving. But keep going, I promise if you practice very often you will definitely improve and also develop a style unique to you ❤️🤗

That's a great question 😊 The new AquaReal 2 set is more textured which includes canvases that are more grungy texture and have a higher contrast. The set also includes blenders specifically designed to create interesting bleeds and seeps which can add to a more "messy" textured look if that's more your style. I've also included 6 background washes for quickly adding a wash to an area. The original set has more traditional effects with refined texture. It has a balanced variety of brushes that has everything you need to achieve realistic results that are classic and refined. AquaReal 2 answers the needs of artist who prefer a more textured finish in their watercolour. So it depends on your style and what kind of look you want to achieve. Hope that answers your question!
