Red Tide

.tidalwavforms. is a previously unreleased concept album which began production in 2011, and has remained mostly untouched since 2014. Now I'm putting in the work to bring each song to a finished state, and releasing them one by one as I go. A few of these tracks saw a pre-release version as the Before The Tide EP, and a few others as "works in progress" on my old Soundcloud page at the time. Some of these will be released for the first time ever. The album is heavily inspired by a PNW coastal upbringing, a philosophy of living as one with the animals and the sea, inevitable mortality, and a universal state which exists in the balance of art, music, nature, spirituality, and consciousness.

Cresting thoughts and riding waves
I can't begin to articulate
Just what it makes me feel
When I start to sink inside
My lungs embrace the coming tide
Down below in the trenches wide
Where The Great Revealer lies
I can't feel it when I hit the bottom

Far below the high water line
In the fathoms where you hide

Despite the water that our lungs imbibed
Relax and watch the red and black
In the underwater sky
In tones that sound surreal
I'm swallowed by this cold
Washed of fear
