Yeah, it never really did get any play. That just sucks! I blame it on the DJ's at the radio stations. It's always the songs that don't get the play that you find out are the best when you buy the album.

This tune reminds me of the tune “Highway to Hell” in so much that that song was trying to be banned when it first came out as well but it was the nickname for the “Canning Highway” in Australia. Bon Scott would travel it to go to a 70’s rock n roll pub. Many people were killed by driving fast through that intersection at the top of the hill on the way for a good night out!!!!!! It amazes me to this day how many Christian ppl in the United States tried to ban the lads from radio air play and selling their albums as being devil worshipers and singing the devils praises!!!!!! Christians can be Amazing sometimes!!!!! Just saying!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!!😎🍸

It’s sad that this is the last song with Bon. As kids, we thought this album was so cool, but I could not let my parents know I was listening to this. I was about 11 when it came out, and the TV show Mork and Mindy was very popular. That “Shazbot, nano, nano”, at the very end, was what Mork from Ork always said.

One of the Young brothers explained that the song was about a boy that sneaks out at night to go to his girlfriend's bedroom and also about someone that was known in their neighborhood to steal women's undergarments at night. The song came out in 1979, a number of years before the "Night Stalker" killings in California in 1984-1985. The frenzy with the song came about when an AC/DC hat was found at one of the crime scenes and the media ran with the idea that the killer was a fan of the band. The band didn't take too kindly to their song being connected to a serial killer.

The last words on the track are from the old TV show, Mork & Mindy.
Robin Williams starred as a ridiculous space alien named Mork from Ork.
"Shozbot" was an Orkan curse word, and "Nanu-nanu", a friendly greeting.
    Bon dug the show.

Yep no surprise you like this track, an underrated one for sure, musical masterpiece capturing the tone and mood and outstanding lyrics, again more double entendres as Bon was the master of. Eg you don’t feel the steel….Malcolm Young said it’s just about a guy sneaking out and sneaking into his gals place.. something to that effect but of course it can also imply more sinister connotations. Classic typical AC⚡️DC. 🔥

What did I predict about the Subs? That was faster than even I thought it would go down. Seen this play out many, many times. It's easy to spot people who are entertaining, and people who are not. THIS DUDE IS FUN. Control the pace. Don't burn through all the good content too fast.

Im 63 and I've never heard this song on radio - bc of the Rameriz tie - your reaction was spot on- great reaction

I didn't get to see your complete reaction. At the end of the song Bon said "Shozbot, Nanu Nanu". That is from Mork and Mindy, a tv show that featured Robin Williams in the show in the late 70's. I loved that show.

Angus Young loves the blues so that is why a lot of their music centers around the blues.

You still have to hit the 1975 Australian releases of High Voltage and TNT, plus a different Dirty Deeds album with some songs from 1976. Some of the songs you’ve reacted to but there’s some gems still left. I love what you’ve been doing. Keep it up. I can’t wait until Flick of the Switch, Fly on the Wall, not so much.

Angus young's vibrato on this song spot on.angus said it was written about a guy in Australia that was going around stealing women's panties off their clothes line

Been a Bon Scott fan since 1974. I still have all the vinyl albums to this day. This song was taken out of context when serial killer Richard Ramirez was arrested. Angus Young said this is about some guy stealing people’s underwear on laundry lines 😂 has nothing to do with killing people

Some of their finest aussie swagger right here. They hit the same vein of swagger in 1995 with Boogie Man.
