Opel Calibra Restoration part 3(Fuel pump)
There were problems about starting th Calibra.
So i made a How To Video
Fuel pump was on the edge of its life.
I got the Calibra to my friends garage and he changed it,and car is working again.

Great video. I have 2 x V6 Calibras here in the UK and need to do this as they have been sat for 2 to 3 years. Need to drop tank, drain fuel, check hoses, and check pump. If the lid hasn't corroded too much, it can be taken down to bare metal and resealed to repair the existing one, as i made a similar repair some years ago!

Little hint. If you need a new lit, you can use the lit of VW Polo 6N. It fits.

Congratulations for this calibra. I love it. All calibras with the v6 engine has the fuel pump into the tank?

Thank you for the good words.For the pump location older calibras before 1995 had the pump outside the tank.Maybe v6 had the same solution.🙂

Buen video,en uno de los mios que tengo dos uno rojo y otro negro,el rojo no arranca por que del manguito de la gadolina a la bomba no sale gasolina como si estubiera el tanque vacio,mi pregumta es por que pasa eso?esta en reserva y e leido que puede ser por la junta del aforador...pero que tiene que ver?mi bomba y filtro estan detras del deposito por fuera del deposito

Thank you.Have you checked is your pump working.I had a problem with a fuel relay and then with the pump itself.

@@TheMeisner87 la bomba de gasolina esta biem le puse la del otro calibra,el rele de inyeccion y tod para probar pero el caso es que no echa gasolina,aun desconectando el manguito que va del deposito a la bomba,ni aun asi cae gasolina que deveria caer sola cuando se quita ese manguito

@@daniell.6933 have you checked the immo.Maybe it’s preventing the pump to work.What does the pump do when you put in the ignition?

Yo tengo el aforador mal creo que es la junta esa que dicen que dan guerra pero no se cual de ellas es,yo tengo dos calibras del 91 y llevan la bomba de gasolina en el exterior

@@daniell.6933 When you have the fuel pump outside then its easier to test and fix them if needed.

That was a rust stopper untill i can find a new cover.

Its not a problem just that pump was over 23 years old.

Sadly no.Calibra doesnt have a service hatch like on newer cars.

Hey the filter is connected to the line what comes from the pump.
