    Finally! I’m so sick of vids telling me to “stretch” my damn pecs using a door frame for this... that just aggravates the trigger points and makes them pull back harder the next morning when it stiffens back up overnight. Thank you for this!

    Very nice video! All the videos on youtube do not even address the anatomy which I feel is important in order to know how to release the tissue and which ones you are releasing. I have a lot of scar tissue from lifting and it causes me to feel "pins and needles" when I put a substantial amount of pressure on the chest, but massages and releases like these have been helping a lot. Thank you!

    A bilateral tight pec minor had me disabled for 3 years at one point. Shooting pains down the arms and in to the hands, weakness in the hands and grip, off and on tingling I was told was "cubital tunnel syndrome". All of it went away when a physical therapist did a release of my pec minor and I got on some shoulder and upper back strengthening exercises. Don't sleep on a tight pec minor folks its no joke!

    After years at a computer and opening a front door which is hard to open, by jamming my left shoulder to it, I felt my muscles on that side tightening. I would massage it with a particular oil and get some measure of relief. But there is always a feeling of tension on the left side. Don't talk about neck pain! I never heard about that Tai Chi ball before, but would try to source it in Trinidad and Tobago where I live. If not, I may have to order it. Your video is the first one I have seen that actually addressed the chest area. Thanks soooo much for this simple but great video. You have given me hope.

    This pec minor is sore and tight from exercise but my back/lower trap area is super stiff. Seems they are connected. Stiffness is running up my back to my head via upper traps. Very interesting. Seem I need to strengthen the antagonist the lower trap and stretch out the pec muscle. I think my mid back is very weak. Great insight thanks. Massive problem for me, always wake up with super tight back. Also I might sleep on back too

      @@OcraMedHealth thank you so much sir your videos are top quality. Im in the process of trying to get rid of my winged scapula since it impairs my bench and while I've made great strides on strengthening my serratus, I also heard it important to make sure your lats, pecs, and rotators are all working in harmony. So I've already been doing a lot to loosen up my tight lats while my rotator did initially feel strong, I must have strained it trying to loosen my pecs 🙄

    I'm a pianist and being relaxed is the primordial prerequisite of having a good technique. Since a while, I developed severe pains in my biceps (the lower end, where it meets the forearm), above my armpits and chest and neck (front and back of it). What I noticed is that because my biceps is too elongated (like a chord that is ready to snap), my arm feels really heavy and unsupported. What muscles participate in this 'supporting' game of the arm and what shall I do to alleviate all the pain? Thank you in advance! 😀

    Can you do a video about pec release for females with augmentation? The rounded shoulders, arm tingling, etc....ugh....these treatments seem more difficult as we don't have such easy access to the pec muscles.

    • @OcraMedHealth
      @OcraMedHealth  3 года назад

      Techniques are basically the same. Pec minor shouldn't be a problem at all to perform release on. With the pec major, you just have to do the best you can to work around the augmentation. Good luck Tracy!

    What do you suspect for sore pec minor on one side, but also shoulder stiffness and popping, plus now tightness on same side only around scapula/upper back on that one side? I think it’s serratus anterior location soreness all on that side. Feel like that side shoulder became unstable several months after side-laying with my (then) newborn plus the repetitive lifting and carrying of a growing infant/toddler. Went to get the soreness checked at urgent care and by pcp but after X-ray they said must just be musculoskeletal issues. Doc did not prescribe rest just meds which at the time I didn’t take unless absolutely necessary due to breastfeeding. Only recently had an idea if it’s a shoulder subluxation, since all of the soreness and tightness is only on one side. Thanks for any thoughts/ideas you could offer! You’re super knowledgeable.

      Give these techniques a try. Perform them consistently over the next few weeks. I also have other videos on my channel that may help your neck and shoulders. Best of luck my friend.

    Hi Dr., thanks for this excellent walkthrough!
    I’m left-handed, and had been experiencing symptoms of costochondritis on my left ribs/sternum since March. I found relief in both areas after using the Backpod, but still get fairly sore after computer work on what feels like my left pec minor (very front of the armpit) and an itch on my rhomboid at the bottom of my left shoulder blade.
    Do you think this video’s techniques would help my issue, or does it sound like a different problem?
    (Happy Thanksgiving, by the way!)

    • @OcraMedHealth
      @OcraMedHealth  4 года назад +1

      If the pec minor is really tight, then the techniques here should help. Work it for a few weeks and see if it clears up all of the issues that you mentioned. Perhaps it might clear up 50%, then you can figure out the rest at that time. Good luck my friend!

    I have a strain that I thought was a pec muscle but it’s closer to the arm pit. Maybe under the pec but your diagram shows pec minor connected to the rib 4-5. Does the pec connect on the side of the chest?

This is the second video I watched that just about explained it the same way, the other guy didn’t say warm up the muscle, for sure helped. Thank god for you sir.

    Hello, I need to ask you a question. I am worried because when I move my shoulders, mainly backwards, I notice a "pop" or "crepitation" in my clavicle, I think in the sternoclavicular joint, I work long hours on the computer and I don't play sports. Do you think this crepitation is due to muscle tension in my chest? Thanks for your attention
