    Whenever they play this one live - Asami always starts with "This is us". The lyrics tells of their struggle to be the band they wanted to be. Referring to the white dresses and heels no doubt. I imagine the record company telling them to look a certain way if they wanted to succeed in "metal". They did it their way.

      They should do a metal rendition of "My Way" then.

    This song was the first time I was blown away by a solo section more than any song I had heard before it. Amazing track, as is most of their music.

    Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. They are five of a kind; Miho then, and Fami now.

      Miyako's sweep picking is some of the best in the business.. Along with her tone.

    One of the greatest metal harmonized solos period. Genre is irrelevant when the musicianship is at this level. 🤘

    "Shadowmaker" got the world's attention and melted a lot of faces. This one fried what was left of peoples' brains. Thank you for getting to this--I never tire of watching it.

    funny - that white esp frx that midori is playing is my favorite of the ones i've seen her play - never seen her use it in a live though - just in mv's. she loves that purple esp e-11 for the live shows. she has used a couple of others in some songs but it's the e-11 98% of the time. this mv has my favorite solo section of all of their songs - the filming is incredible the way the camera spins around them. and what can you say about the samurai LOVEBITES ? way too cool

    Lovebites had a free pre-order preview stream of their new live DVD this morning. This song was played and that part you're hearing is Miyako and Midori also has her own thing going on behind the "carry on!" chorus, great catch! They didnt stream the whole DVD, but it was well over an hour, maybe even 90 minutes, and it was incredible! Everyone killed it; Asami nearly dropped from exhaustion at the end, Midori was crisp clean lightning, Haruna a 6 limbed nuclear power plant, Fami fit in seemlessly, and I swear, Miyako looks to be even faster. Bottom line, incredible performance by these ladies. They put on a great show to go with the music; hopefully they'll make it to the States soon. Keep plugging away, lots more Lovebites gems out there.
    Fun Fact about Miyako: as you probably already know, shes self taught from 19, but did you know the 1st metal song she ever learned by ear was Master of Puppets? And I remember being so proud when I figured out Iron Man, lol. Some of the other music she use to learn was by Dimebag Daryl, Paul Gilbert (he's big deal in Japanese metal), and Gary Moore. I think this is why Miyako has such a unique mixture of style, especially with the bluesy influence.

      I'm sorry, I'll add a little. 🤗
      During the Stream, approximately 1 hour 40 minutes - 1 hour 45 minutes from the DVD was shown (full concert + opening and closing greetings from the ladies from the music studio).
      Miyako picked up the guitar when she was in Senior High School (koto gakko). Japanese children graduate from Senior High School at the age of 17-18.
      It all started with Miyako's fascination with the king of hard-rock guitar Ritchie Blackmore ( DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW) . Miyako's mom was a big fan of these bands and from early childhood Miyako listened to these bands a lot.
      Miyako: 'My mom loves classic rock, so I’ve been listening to bands like DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW since I was little. I ended up being very influenced by Ritchie Blackmore. But I’ve been influenced by a lot of other modern guitarists as well - out of the current ones, I’m very much inspired by Timothy Henson and Scott LePage from POLYPHIA.' ( From an interview with 'GuitarWorld', April 2020 )

      Its the same model that Miyako pointed out whilst criusing the streets of Tokyo ... ?

    • @GuitarSoloReactions
      @GuitarSoloReactions  9 месяцев назад +1

      That’s what I thought. I have seen the model before.

    • @guitarzen5999
      @guitarzen5999 9 месяцев назад +3

      @Greish-esquire The guitar Miyako saw was a FRX 407 (7 string guitar) that Midori built. Midori doesn't use 7 string guitars, so she was using an "off the rack" regular 6 string FRX in this video and a few older videos.

    • @guitarzen5999
      @guitarzen5999 9 месяцев назад +2

      @GuitarSoloReactions I agree about Midori's guitar shape, it reminds me too much of Tom Araya's (Slayer) bass, which is also known as an FRX bass.
