Thank you so much for this insightful video!! This video was covered so thoroughly and definitely made my decision a lot easier!
The price for s23 fe is good but putting the exynos 2200 inside is not a good plan at all
I believe the Exynos processor is in the international version - the American S23 FE includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor!
@@tonyginnetti5828I believe 8 gen 1 is built by Samsung so that might be a problem as well
@@Mujahed.it’s not we know it’s performance
@@treebush my apologies it was a mere assumption.
Putting the 8 gen 1 isn't since was worse than the Exynos 2200 in thermal and efficiency management.
We have both phones. Not the right comparison. First things first: The s23 FE should only be compared to the S23+. I got the s23 because I prefer compact phones, my wife got the FE (Snapdragon version in the U.S.) because she prefers larger screens. Unlike myself, most folks want the larger form factor. In normal day-to-day use I notice little difference between the two. Pics may be a tiny bit better on the s23, but not a game-changer. I'm not familiar with the battery life on the s23+, but my wife's s23 FE gets slightly longer run time than my s23, at any rate, both go well over a day and a half. The price difference between the s23+ and the s23 FE is considerably more. The s23+ and s23 FE are the same size and design, the only obvious difference is the smaller 6.4" screen on the FE and its larger bezels vs, the s23+ 6.6" screen...but the price difference clearly aims the s23 FE at buyers in a different niche. My wife had no burning desire to buy a state-of-the-art phone, yet she wanted a high-quality phone about the size of the s23+.
Thanks man. I did made up my mind to buy my first ever flagship phone and chose samsung s23 fe for that. But most of the comparison people just made me regrate it and feel like its not a good choice. But since its gonna be my first flagship phone and i did not used or bought any of the apple or any other company's flagship phone i think those little ditails ate not gonna matter for me cause since I'm gonna jump from 5 years old teash can to a flagship its gonna feel like 100x better. And also *FE have 30x digital zoom too, so thats a big pro i guess* 😅😅😅
Hope you read and reply to me. Thank you 😊😊😊

Namaskar 🙏
Did you watch the comparison in this video?
It is not to create confusion but to clear it.
S23 FE is not a flagship phone, it is a Fan Edition phone, Hope you know it.
In any case S23 was a flagship phone till few days ago since S24 series launch.
I can say you should only go for FE if you need a bigger phone in terms of size.
If size doesn't matter, you should go for S23.
About 30x zoom, it is just a distraction, let me ask you one thing, what was the photo or video which you have taken from any higher zoom, we rarely take videos or even photos from higher zooms.
In the end it will your decision.
I saw yesterday both phones price and they were nearly same.
S23 slightly higher in India.
Choose wisely 🙏
PCcarlsonYou are bang on. S23 is the smallest phone of Samsung. The norm is 6.4 to 6.6 inch and there's a reason it's the majority of Samsung's line up. S23fe vs S23+ is a better comparison because many S23fe buyers don't want the smaller S23.
For those that read the specs and say it's not a flagship .... can you explain why the S23FE beats the S22+ on all geekbench scores and other bench markers and barely lags just behind the S23 in performance rating? Because in my understanding the S22+ was a flagship.
@@RuleNo2NoNames How a phone not flagship called fe beat a flagship s22+, what kind of criteria do you take this view?
Great video besides the Camera comparison. Taking the shots at different times really messes up our ability to actually compare them.

3:03 The regular S23 already has the One UI 6/Android 14 update.
vanilla versions of S series have always been better than FE versions. FE are just for people who don't abuse their phones but still want some of the flagship figures. If you're not one of those kids that game, it's good enough. It's for older people tbh since A54 is kinda lacking
If I had a budget that could contain either of them, I'll go for the S23.

Well ain't that the very obvious? You statement should be something in between even if u only had the Budget for the s23fe you would still save up a bit more and get the regular s23

I have the s23 and I ❤ it. I love the small size and that it fits in my pocket I also love that it is fast with the 8 Gen 2 Snapdragon chip processor & I also like the performance as well. I had switched from the S20 FE 5G I had from before and it wasn't too bad of a phone, but it has 6.5' too big. I made a great choice and I'm happy with the S23.
Good for you
I'll be coming off a S20 FE, also.
Looking for a smaller one, too.

the fact that FE has exynos chip is already a deal breaker 😂, so base s23 all the way

Not even a comparison, the S23 is miles ahead better from display, processor, and camera. The S23 FE is just a lazy cashgrab from Samsung.
Correct
Its electronic garbage
S23 is better... but miles ahead? No. The FE is an upgrade from the A54. It especially gives an option for those that want a new samsung device with dex or wireless charging at a reduced price.
Lol you have literally no knowledge about phones.
S23 fe has a okay snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor (exynos is trash though), display is identical but bulky huge bezels, cameras are basically base model s22 cameras, this phone is -THE S22 FE-
Wouldn't it be a smarter choice to wait 2 months till the S24 generation is announced? This way the S23 phones will come in even cheaper.
They actually higher the prices of S22 during S23 premiere
Wouldn't it be smart to wait for 2025's s25 instead

I just got s23 fe a hundred dollars off on Amazon due to black Fridays sales. Since my pixel 7 pro broke and shattered on the ground. The performance on samsung always seemed better. Never again with Google.

Exynos 2200 is great, try it

Nope, the Exynos 2200 is good, especially in the FE models with its improved process node.

We have both phones and I do prefer the Fe, as it's bigger, The only thing I am not a big fan of is the thick bezzels and weight. It's a heavy phone. My S23 fe also has the Snapdragon 8/1 cpu and there is plenty of performance for what I need it. What I really like about is is the camera. My brother's S23 has the same camera I believe. Had a poco F4 before this and the poco produced substandard images in low light, it also lacked an optical zoom lens.
My S23 Fe is already running on Android-14 and upgraded to One-UI 6.1 with A.I. The regular S23 has the SD 8, gen-2, so it's a lill faster. It also has a smaller battery! but if you are not a gamer, like me. I'd recommend the "fe. I picked up mine for below $500- Cdn which is about $380- USD, so it's a bargain, if you ask me..
Should I buy motorola edge 40 or nothing phone 1? They're practically the same price in my country.
S23 already has one ui 6 in Poland. We are waiting for the premiere of s23 Fe.

How's your battery life? Have you done any gaming on it?
When I was choosing a phone, S23 wasn't an option for me though. S23+ and S23 FE are the ones to compare because they are of similar size. It just feels like comparing a 12 inch and 15.6 inch laptops to compare s23 and s23 FE. Obviously the S23+ is way better phone than S23 FE, but where I live, the price difference is huge.
I love my S23 FE. A phone isn't a specsheet, and this is a flagship Samsung phone in every way that matters at a great price. Got mine for just $480 US, just $80 more than my GF spent on her completely dated iPhone SE a couple of years ago. How is this such a terrible deal?
for the money s23 fe is better than s23 plus
I just want a better phone that can take great pictures and has great video quality. Im not much of a social media person or care to game on my phone. Pictures and videos are worth thousands of words.
I'm trying to understand why any company would deliberately designed a smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 generation 1. That chipset is 2 years old and a total disaster. It is mainly noted for poor optimization that causes heavy power consumption and overheating. Once more, I'm trying to understand why the s23 Fe even exists? Essentially, it's been hodgepodge together with new old stock. At $600 there are much better and higher-spec options available from other manufacturers.
For example, the OnePlus 11 is easily one of the best smartphones of the year and features the Snapdragon 8 generation 2. In addition, the bass version that offers 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is selling for $699. Furthermore, it offers flagship build quality and much higher specifications.
Another solid choice would be the Motorola think phone. It offers the Snapdragon 8+ generation 1. The build quality is solid and it is packed with features. Better still, it comes in around $500.
I hear that Motorola doesn't care about upgrades. I was thinking about buying it a week ago when price dropped to $400. Now it raised to the level above $500 on par with Pixel 8.
@@proudbacteria1373 actually, Motorola has gotten a lot better about updates. Moreover, it's guaranteed to get 3 years of OS updates with four years of security patches. In my country of myanmar, the base S23 is 1.5 times more expensive than the S23 FE, likewise the FE is also 1.5 times the price of the A54, making the FE more of the sweet spot for us if we want wireless charging, telephoto lens etc.

The S23 has several issues. I've owned several galaxy phones over that past 10 years. Each year, some feature I value either deteriorates or is removed. I switched from the note 10 to this. One big difference here is that I have not been able to mute SMS. Not all SMS that I want to mute are SPAM so blocking is not the option I need. Just got the S23 FE 6 weeks ago. So far what ive discovered, as a fairly average user is....battery life sux but it charges very quickly in my experience. The screen protector that my carrier provided along with the Otterbox is too slippery and delicate as well. I already have a nice ding and crease after a relatively minor drop. Im not sure of the brand.
Back to the phone... i dont much care about whether or not it looks or feels "premium" as compared to another model or brand.
Theyre all made as if theyre intended to be used as a suppository imo. I cant even hold the darn things before i acqure a good case with some grip.
IMO the S23 FE looks pretty good, feels pretty good. I like the look of the 3 round protruding cameras. Kinda a retro look imo.
As far as performance goes, the cameras are good. Im no expert or camera snob but they seem better than my old iPhone XR and my previous Galaxy A20 and another more premium galaxy that i dont recall the model of, so no complaints. Although i swear i think my LG.....whatever, from 2013 or so tops them all for extreme closeups atleast.
The speakers sound pretty good and have decent volume.
Im not a techy kinda guy. I ride motorcycles, shoot guns and live my life outdoors as much as possible so i dont know the proper terminology let alone understand the actual operating system or the differences between them.
I just need a phone that stores 900 contacts, handles my emails and text messaging, handles my banking needs, gives me a useable notebook, lets me surf the net, takes good pics and stores about 8,000 of them at any one time and plays music or lets me RUclips when i want to.
All i can say is so far this phone does what i require of it and aside from the battery life i cant fault it.
So far im digging it.

S23 better chipset, better camera, more features
I just upgraded to the S23 Ultra coming from the S22 Ultra, and I didn't expect to notice a difference between these devices, but I do. I thought the S22 was already plenty fast for normal tasks, but the S23 just feels a bit more snappy and fluent, and with the Galaxy AI stuff, it performs significantly quicker. It also seems to get less warm in the hand.
Having a faster (and more importantly, a more efficient) chip makes sense for everyone, not just gamers.
What about software support?
Honestly, the best thing to do is find a used S23 and you can get it for the same price or better than a new S23 fe.

To save cost. The year on year improvement isn't really noticeable anymore especially to the average user. Apple has been doing this for some time now with their SE line up.
