When I learned the s mount armbar at white belt the key to a smooth transition for me was learning to lean onto the opponents midsection when bringing the leg over, as was emphasized here.
Professor Tom, just want to say a big thank you. Your teaching methodologies and attention to the details has helped me massively. I now regularly coach at the club that I train in and your videos are my go to library when I am looking for the little tweaks that make things so much more effective. So thanks again. Keep the awesome content coming.
thanks so much...."its about control not speed". That weight on the midsection detail is key to actually holding the position i suspect. Can't wait to try that out.
Starting BJJ this week and to prep i’ve just been non stop studying all your vids. Hopefully a solid understanding of how bjj is meant to work will aid in speedy progression. will update
Another good one, watched your scarf hold video my first month of training and it's been an EFFECTIVE go-to on the squirrelly dudes. Excellent coverage of subject matter in these videos!

Great vid but i would’ve loved to see how to open opponent’s arms when they are defending
Mate, the video quality is amazing, you've really shot those up. The teaching is brilliant as always.

@@crythicalyt8392 did u stop training because of lockdown? And does your instructor promote based on skill or time ?
I'll give this video a thumbs up even though I'm worried it'll help secure the arm bar. 👍👍👍
Yes! Cheers buddy! Seeya at class tonight! 💙🤙🏻

Thanks for the great content! Maybe look into a lapel mic. The audio echo makes it hard to hear!
We have Lapel mics...bit hard to use in jiu jitsu tho, cheers for watching!
Excellent video !
Good advice on the S-Mount. I'm trying it out tonight.
Your teaching is great👍
Too good as always
this is the armbar KHABIB used in his early career fights
Gracias🙏💕
Jealous of you guys in SA... stuck in lockdown in VIC so no BJJ :'(
Briliant
Go watch S mount armbar. Better explanation and it is correct technique.
This is wrong. He can defend with his left arm and catch his leg and escape as he is transitioning.
