I used to mascot on a semi professional level. The team I worked for was affiliated with Philadelphia. I met and worked with the phanatic a few times. The guy in this video was so convincing, I always thought it was the real deal

One of my fav exchanges from this episode is after the charlie 1-2, charlie goes to comfort dennis about getting hit by a car and goes, “ I got you a soft pretzel dawg” and dennis just slaps it out of his hand and charlie is just like “ thats a perfectly good pretzel man”
I came across this show one random night at a friends house on FX back in high school. This was the first episode i ever saw and have loved it ever since. Ive been looking forward to this specific episode. A little sad that Rob couldnt make it. Chase Utley would be disappointed in him.
LOVED the horror movie talk at the beginning of the episode. Didn’t know Glenn was such a horror fanatic, but it makes sense because he did have a role in one of the best horror films ever; The Strangers. Also loved that he was a huge fan of Barbarian.

As someone who LOVES "The Last Unicorn" (and was also a bit scared of it as a kid), I love that I just learned something I didn't know about that movie.

The comment about Randall Einhorn insisting they shoot bigger on location shots being a good aspect of the show is spot on. Around season 4 it did sometimes seem like the show was mostly bottle episodes (as in: minimal or same set and location usage and storytelling limited by that.) Which was fine. Adding scale and a better budget to the show over the years has been awesome though. The Ireland episodes from last season was like an epic comedy adventure movie.

Rankin-Bass Hobbit and Return of the King are so good. The music gets stuck in my head nearly daily. I went out of my way to get the vinyl soundtrack for Hobbit. It's awesome and has a couple extra songs, including one about a big fat spider. This podcast was a bit surreal to me too because I also bought the Last Unicorn German release vinyl soundtrack. I wonder if Glenn has seen the other weird Rankin-Bass fantasy movie "A Flight of Dragons," because it's probably the weirdest one.
Barbarian was a great movie. It was written and directed by Zach Cregger, a member of WKUK! Their group had similar vibes to the Sunny group until their lead man died. R.I.P. Trevor Moore

Just FYI: Pearl is the second of a trilogy. Imo it’s the BEST set of horror films I’ve seen in YEARS. X is a glorious homage to old horror, Pearl is so beautifully done. The wizard of Oz comparisons are dead on. Maxxxine, the final film, I’m hoping comes out before the end of the year. I don’t think we’ll see it until next year though. I ran to the theater for both-they were only there for a week. I’m dying to see the final film in this trilogy. Love that you watched it Charlie!
