I'm here to answer some common questions:
*1) Where can I watch the play?* I've included a few options for watching the play in the description
*2) Are there subtitles available for the play?* No. As far as I know, there are currently no subtitled versions available.
*3) Why does it cost money to watch it?* This stage play is an officially licensed adaptation of the manga. It was made by professional actors and a professional production team. So, just like it costs money to read the manga and watch the anime, it costs money to see the stage play
*4) Why are certain characters not in the stage play?* While there are certain characters who don't appear in the play because they aren't included in this part of the story (like the other villains and some of the pro heroes), the main reason other characters don't appear was the cost of a large cast. The stage play didn't have a ton of money and they chose to prioritize their spending on high quality costumes and effects rather than a large cast. But, due to the success of the first play, all of Class 1-A, all members of the League of Villains, a lot of pro heros, and other characters have been added to the cast for the second, third, and fourth stage plays
*5) Is there any way I can listen to the official soundtrack?* The soundtrack is available on LINE Music and other streaming services in Japan if you have an account that is registered as being located in Japan. Otherwise, the soundtrack is available for purchase from websites like Aitai Kuji

ALSO SOMEONE JUST POINTED OUT THAT I MESSED UP THE SUBTITLES AT 10:02. Todoroki actually says that he'll beat Deku using only his *RIGHT* side, not his left. Unfortunately, there's currently no version with English subtitles available 😔 But LiveForm Events did have an English subtitled version available for rent for a short period of time back in August and then again in December-January, and I'm hoping they'll open it up again sometime soon. I will definitely do some kind of update here or on a community post to let people know if they do 😊

People saying this shit is cringe and childish and panders to just total weebs but...
These people work so hard to choreograph an entire musical that lasts for over two hours. You see these people acting, singing, dancing their hearts out every single play because they're so hellbent on wanting to bring this vision to life, working together like one big ass family. The passion that goes into musicals like these never cease to blow me away. Its just art in its ultimate form, so many people coming together to express a singular vision.
These people are heroes in their own right.
All that, added with the fact that they have choreographed fights, so many creative ways of bringing each characters quirk to life on stage, and some of the best makeup work I've seen, they put so much effort into this play. You could say they went beyond....PLUS ULTRA! (I am so sorry)
Those who dismiss "geeky, nerdy, fandom-related etc." works of art as "cringe, childish, pointless/unsubstantial" seem to miss the point of art as a whole. They assume superiority through stuffy high culture, misunderstanding of how different people's brains are different, and misrepresentation of what they dislike (intentional or not).
It's so important to realize the similarities in passion we have to, say, sports fans or classic literature analysts (the latter of which I strongly enjoy being). It's so important to at least dip your toes into sociology so that you may get a better hold on _why_ you really like a series and have a mighty need to share said appreciation - of course, without bashing those who believe another series to be superior. Nerd/geek/weeb culture is taking "art for art's sake" and elevating it to the stratosphere; I just wish more people could rise with that concept because this musical *is* awesome.

The background acting is a hoot, Bakugou's SA is the perfect spiky haired gremlin and I love All Might's SA.
I'm stunned by how perfect each member of the cast fit their character - it's literally like they were copy and pasted directly from the anime, especially Ryota as Bakugo, Yume as Ochaco and Yuki as Present Mic. Also, the costumes look really good and actually seem like real superhero uniforms - impressive!
Ik!! Deku’s last bow at the end especially brought that out, he did that so perfectly and I love it 😭

What I love about the stage play is Deku and Iida’s friendship. It makes it seem like they’re closer friends than in the anime
Aoyama's stage actor looking at the audience is a cool nod to how often he breaks the 4th wall in the anime, and the actor really plays him perfectly.
I was disappointed to the people who judged the visuals and poster when this was first released. Little did they know, that its actually really good and a (bit funny). I got goosebumps watching this! Shin is so good as Deku🤧 Iirc, theyre at their 3rd stage(?) already?
