Cavs have come a long way... from the dark early years... to a solid squad onky to be defeated by Jordan....to finally a chance with the GOAT in young LeBron, yet, management failed to give him any talent, to the "Toxic Decision" and the dark years to Kyrie and The Return of the King.. the 2016 Championship and then to the young guys of Donnie and Garland... Lets go Cleveland!!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this song. I remember another great song from Michael Stanley Band for the Cavs in the late 90s, Rock You Tonight by Michael Stanley Band that was played in arena before each home game back when it was Gund Arena.
The band that plays this song is actually the Michael Stanley Band. They're big in NE Ohio, not so much outside the friendly confines. They have a similar blue collar, no frills, "Heartland Rock" sound that "The Boss" and the boys do. Stanley has also found fame as the longtime afternoon DJ on classic rock station WNCX 98.5 in Cleveland.
also, when Michael Stanley Band did "Come On Cavs" in the early 1990s, they did so for the Cavaliers organization, themes for the Cavaliers Radio Network and WOIO's "CAVS Fast Break" in which Stanley hosted, and promo for WOIO's Cavs Game coverage.
@@mariepavlov9144 anything past 1987 is NOT the "Michael Stanley Band" as they broke up in 1987. probably most of the same musicians, but just billed as "Michael Stanley" or Michael Stanley and Friends. Until 1999 , when they became "Michael Stanley and the Resonators : :)
wow this song screams 80s. all you need is to make a cheesy montage including a badass action film such as commando or true lies. now that would be awesome
You might find this cheesy, but it can't be any cheesier than any whiny, mainstream pop-punk song! "Songs" like the ones All Time Low and Simple Plan "perform" are more cheesier than a damn Green Bay Packers game!
Kinda hard to like a guy that shot at his own basket so he could grab a rebound to get a triple-double (Davis), and a guy with spaghetti knees whose watch was stuck at 4:20 (Miles).
This song brought chills to my soul as a kid! Michael Stanley....The Pride of Cleveland...RIP
Rest in peace Michael Stanley
RIP Michael Stanley 3-5-2021. Cleveland rock legend and DJ. Wrote and recorded this song in 1989.
The Brad Daugherty/Mark Price era
@@billelkins1974 Yes. I remember it echoing from the rafters at the Coliseum before the games!
"Tonight's the Night" by Michael Stanley. This brings back great memories at the old Richfield Coliseum.
Man oh man you arent kidding
Freaking love this theme song I wish they still used it at least and they're retro game

this may honestly be my favorite song of all-time
Season starts tomorrow. Gonna be a good one!! LET EM KNOW!! #GoCavs
The '15-'16 Cavs won the title, but my personal favorite Cavs team is '91-'92, for getting to the ECF on guts and grit, only to run into MJ. :/
They were better than The Bulls that year - their two best players got injured - but they were better
Shawn kemp was not on the cavs in the 80s. However, in the mid 90s, I recall a fat guy resembling Shawn kemp.
Congrats to the Cavs for winning the 2016 NBA championship
“Come on….”
"Price down under to Nance. Wham with a right hand!"

Like the fact that Brinda is bringing this back on KNR Overtime.
When will I be over the Harper for Ferry trade? When I'm dead.
A damn shame! Still pisses me til this day
The lack of respect for Michael Stanley in this description angers me
why is there a pic of bruce springsteen and his e street band at around 45 sec.?
I guess because Michael Stanley is doing his best Bruce Springsteen impression.
Michael Fuckin Stanley
The BEST! Now THOSE were the days. Price, Daughrety, Nance, Hot Rod, Ehlo, etc. What a TEAM. FU Michael.

How hard was Michael Stanley up for cash/attention at this point where he penned this gem?
John Stebbins Hilarious

We try to forget those guys were here ;)
I like this but the "Come on Cavs" theme song (during the miracle of Richfield ) is the best of all.

This song was for the 1991 season not the 80s
I don't. I loved them when they were here.
Welp, agree to disagree.
i don't care who you are, this is awesome
Yikes! That is BAD! Don't remember it either...
This song is awful, even by 80's standards!
Worst theme song ever!
