That is true for the liberal justices. People don't know what the constitution says, so any decision they don't like they say the court is ignoring the constitution.

My second favorite episode ever of this show. I loved the “Now, _THAT’S_ a grand old flag!” line and the Charleston Chew reference.

Honestly, I wish we had more people like the Old Lawyer in episode. He might not like you doing something, but he will defend your right to do it! We sadly don't see those kinda people anymore irl.

@@gurvmlk That used to be how American was, not even 15 years ago. My saying above it literally a quote most people used to say "I don't like what you are saying, but I will defend your right to say it!". It used to be an actual American motto, ESPECIALLY around the time when 'Hate Speech' started becoming a concept by democrats, and weaponized to sue and throw people in jail. It used to be the defining point to show the split between the Democrats and the Republicans.
But now things have shifted. Now True Free Speech is dead. They have invented the concept of "Freedom of Speech, but not Freedom of Consequences", where you can be sued for Free Speech, and certain speech is illegal. Racism is not illegal. It's illegal for a Job to 'Discriminate' based on Race, but being out right Racist is not illegal. And yet, you call someone of race a racial slur, that's a Hate Crime, that's Hate Speech, you get locked up and punished. That's not Free Speech anymore.
People forget that at a point in history, it was used as an example of Free Speech, for president to be walking down the street, and you could go up to him and literally say "You fucking piece of shit, I hope you fucking die tomorrow." And noted the President would not be allowed to punish you, cause it was free speech. You can't do that today. You try that and you'll probably get shot by the Secret Service, or the FBI taking you and your family away to never be seen again.
And it's sad. It's sad and heartbreaking. The Old Lawyer in this adult cartoon is MORE American, and understands MORE about the freedoms and constitution than literally any American Citizen alive right now today.
