Thanks for yet another great review Kevin Haven't had (in fact never seen) this one. As I'm not really a fan of grain whisky I would not be first in line to try it... but maybe I need to try it blind to get convinced. Slàinte mhath
Good review Kevin. Had a few drams of the magician last night (the bottle I cracked open at the back of the akbars bus). I personally prefer the magician over the fool. I'm convinced the magician has Highland park in it, but maybe I'm completely wrong.😂
Great review Kevin. I have had my eye on this for a while as love bargain bottles and the soft fruits sound right up my street at the moment. Loving more gentle whisky! Cheers
I’ve not revisited this one yet but I for sure will I feel it’s got a lot more to offer and it’s just being shy to show it’s real self. It’s good but I really think this will become better the further down the bottle it goes. But for £20 I’m really happy :)
Thanks Kev, I always enjoy learning about a good value whisky and not opposed to blends at all. At that price point and ABV it made me think a little of the Cutty Sark Prohibition that I really enjoy. Hope this one continues to open up for you buddy!
The reason it is called The Fool is this series is based off of Tarot cards, The Fool is the first card in the Tarot deck. The new release is The Magician, the next card in the sequence.
Pleased you got value from the voucher. Edrington part own North British, and the malts highly likely to be Glenrothes, Macallan or Highland Park, feels like this is fairly young and with 80% grain at a young age, I’m not surprised you’re struggling to find a hook. A poor man’s TB-BSW%?

Excellent review dear Kevin. I for one am always looking for great value bottlings. Sounds intriguing. Thanks and kind regards, S.
