Hello this is a question not pertaining to this video but how do you read from the OBD 1 port I have been unsuccessful with my OBD 2 scanner with a Adapter cable
Hi Steve, I have not tried reading codes with a scanner on the E32 platform. You might want to look into the Foxwell NT530. I believe it will read codes on older OBD1 BMWs. Not sure if it has bidirectional control though.
Bonjour!
Hi Francisco, thank you! I buy replacement parts from different places: RockAuto, FCP Euro and eBay. Shock mount... do you mean the strut? They are available new (31311138487 and 31311138488) but expensive. Used would be best.
@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec HI yes stut mount but I heard that in some places call them "shock mount" hahaha , thanks for answering, I have checked fcp euro but only have front strut mount and I need rear to
@@franciscocarbini1523 That will be tricky to find, but definitely possible if you look on eBay. Also local junk yards might have what you need if you are willing to go and get them. At least your 735i doesn't have the self-leveling suspension which simplifies things for you!
I own a M30B30, according to BMW they only get the 855mm belt when they were built before 1987, after that the official parts catalogue says 835mm...funny thing is, even though I had a 835mm belt on when I bought the car, I have zero chance to put a new belt on. I‘m not even getting close to how much you got it on with your hands. So I think I‘m just gonna change to 855mm then, that should easily solve the problem...still wondering how that is supposed to work with a 835mm
If your tensioner set up is like mine, I can't imagine that you will successfully install a 13x835 belt. Even 13x855 is incredibly tight. Short of unbolting the compressor I don't see how it's possible to get it on. This is why the starter trick is handy. The 13x855 belt is 64521722373 FYI. Cheap to buy as a Continental "aftermarket" part.
@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec I would be surprised if my setup would be any different than yours. That is also why I don’t understand that BMW officially replaced the partnumber in the spare parts catalogue with a 835mm length from production year 1987 and on. Thanks for the number, definitely gonna give this a try!
Hi Ahmed, if your car doesn't have powered rear seats, it is very simple. Just lift on the rear seat firmly on each side, and it will pull off. It's more complicated with the powered rear seats. My car doesn't have these so I don't know how it's done, sorry!
@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec Thank you for answering. My seats are like yours not powered seats. It's really stuck I try to pull it up but it's not working.
@@ahmedexplorer6175 Probably it was not removed in a very long time. I made a quick video for you on how to remove the rear seat on my car. I hope it helps :) ruclips.net/video/T4OMllT_HGw/видео.html
Nice tip. Wish this video would have been out 2 summers ago when I wrestled with my e32's belts. 😂
You crazy as hell man! Hahaha, you got the ballz!

Hi, the belt I installed is a 13x855. Look for Contitech AVX13x855.

Can you please make a video about how to remove the seat to get into the battery. 🌹

Thank you so much I will try it today. My car didn't run or moved since 2002. Almost 20 years sitting in the garage.
