I love all of Angela's ideas for free motion quilting. I believe an important part of free motion quilting is the creativity it takes to think up new ideas and plans. Angela is a master of free motion quilting and creativity.
Needless to say, I love watching every motif of this challenge and know that the panel will be a fabulous reference. My favorite though is the combination of clam shells and elongated swirls. Although I still struggle to get my swirls to look like yours, I am hoping to get better with more practice.
I enjoy that you slowly retrace the design. I am quilting free motion ,but have not done it with such density. Will be fun to follow your quilting along. Thanks mjj
This was an excellent demo. I hope other viewers are enjoying your Craftsy classes, too. It's amaziing how many free-motion quilting patterns you know.
Really good tutorial. I like how you stop, explain what you're doing. Again, this is a very helpful step by step tutorial. I especially like the end of the 2nd swirl-- how you 'fill in' the extra space after the feathers. Keep it up!
You are terrific. I can’t wait to meet you. I live in North Kansas City so I will be visiting when I you are in your shop. I hope I am brave enough and good enough to try this on my next quilt. It is for my mom so I want it to be good. Lol
I did something similar on a very girly quilt. However the shape was a little different. It started with more of a swirl in the center and then branched off and went around the center and echoed that. It gave it a flower shape and would fill with occasional meander feathers or smaller swirls. It was a great practice quilt for me and very girly for my niece's daughter.
Angela,, I really want to cry sometimes!!! i love, love to quilt but I never got to do almost none of free motion quilting. Do you teach this on the side somewhere? if so, what state are you in? LOL.. You make it look so easy.

Yay!!!! Its so fun isnt it?
Another fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much!
I love how you work with the fabric and quilt design. I like the meshing of both. Feel that there's a lot of overquilting going on.

Love this!!
Love your videos, I'm wondering what kind of camera you are using and how you do you attach. I'd like to record my progress.

Thank you for that.
Which machine is this can I get in mumbai India
I so wish I could do feathers. I try and try and they just don’t work.
Was this done on a regular machine or a long arm machine?
I quilted this on a longarm, but it can be done on a sewing machine as well
You are fabulous and adorable. Love the no-make up look. You are a wonderful feminist!
