Not only is this educational, but highly INSIGHTFUL - it opens my eyes and makes me realize how to further create things like these animated effects. Thanks so much!
Love the amount of attention you give to what each piece of the node tree is doing, lets me actually figure out how I can apply this to other projects, not just replicating the tutorial.
I swear I learn more from guys like him and ducky 3D, polygon runway, polyfjord, kaizen, CG Boost, etc.. than college. Granted my college isn’t the best but still free RUclips with some bought courses from various people listed has been a lot more fruitful than college has been. Thank ya
This is awesome, I was needing a way to animate some magicy-stuff for a game model, and this is perfect for it!
Great Tutorial SouthernShotty! Easy to follow with all the important info, Worked first time!
That grass is gorgeous!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So beautiful! Just what I've been looking for all this time!!!!!
Thank you!!!
This is awesome! Thank you so much for making this~!
Thank You! amazing tutorial and amazing result
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
I would love to see more like this tutorial 😊
Thank you! This is so cool
Merci pour ce petit tuto bien sympatique
love this !!
lovely toturail
around 9:55 when you were explaining the texture space thingy, youtube "suggestion" thumbnail covered everything, please always leave the last ~15 seconds of the video empty or prepared for that suggestions because youtube is too dumb to do it themselves.
And as always, thanks a lot for the effort.
Yes, I cant see the final explanation, thnx for the video
... you can always download the video, then you will not see that.
@@engelbrecht777 at that point you can just "inspect" that element and delete its code.
It's his fault, not RUclips's. You're just trying to be nice.
yes
Hey Shotty, thanks for once again, delivering a fantastic tutorial. Wanted to ask if you could do a tutorial for the grass that is not a short, it is really difficult to use the short since you can't rewind :(
All what I can say is Just wooooooow !!😍
i was just wondering how they did that on the game, you read my mind! loved the effect your content is great!
Thank you for the video!
wow that was spectacular :)
Great, concise tutorial! Note: at 8:00, he changes the mix color node factor to 1 instead of the default 0.5 value. Without this change, the tips don't fade :)
Thank you so much, I came to the comments looking for an answer to why my tips weren’t fading, thanks a lot ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
hey, great video! was actually looking for something like this, so it helped a lot. not that its dire but there is an error in the description of the video. The Legend of Zelda: Trials of the Twin Kingdoms sounds like a great title for a Zelda game, but its not the one that recently released.
again, thanks for the video and have a good one!
Please remember to increase the curve resolution to 64 or higher. This determines how accurately the curve is sampled. 12 is a bad default that causes jagged geometry.
Love this look and the proceduralness of it! You're in southern US? I'm in Texas!
excellent tutorial, thank you very much. Can this effect be done in a loop?
amazing video, but also, could you maybe do a tutorial of how to recreate the secret stones from totk?
Will you be doing more shader node FX tutorial?
So how did you make the grass and dust particles?? Great Tutorial !
Really nice!! But, how to use or integrate in game engine like Unreal or Unity?
how do you get to see the output above each node? that looks really handy. is it a plugin?
I need to use this effect and convert it to a sprite sheet for a simple looped animation. All I really need help with is looping the noise. Any tips on how i might do it with this particular shader setup? SEND HELP!
could you please make sure screencast keys is turned on
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know about those squares appearing above the nodes what they are, like the noise texture node and mix node have white squares what are they?
Thanks for this - How would you go about animating this? Say you want it to start from a point, draw itself, then finish like a trim path?
If you add another Mix (multiply) to the alpha set up, (after the 1st). you can animate the whole thing fading in and out with a Second Texture Cord. with that tex cord parented to an empty. Tex Cord (Object) > Color ramp > invert > into the B of the 2nd Mix Multiply. just moving the empty slowly allows you to make the whole thing fade. not really a drawing, but It can work in some cases, saving the need to draw it ;)
@@thelaw333 Thank you so much! I am going to try this now
@@thelaw333 Hi I found a much simpler solution by playing around. In the curve settings you can just keyframes the start and end mapping :) 2/3 keyframes. Job done.
Love this, but 2 Quetions, appreaciate it if anyone knows any solutions
1. Does anyone has problem with the curve's UV? it appears to have a sharp edge on one side of the surve geometry
2. the movement of the texture doesnt follllow the curve, it just go virticle up and down
Hey! I can see the noise sample above noise texture node and on other nodes too. How to do that?
how do you get an overview above each node?
How do you make the grass move?
is the process the same in cycles ?
Do you konw I can do the glowing aura of the master sword ?
i want to ask, the mapping doesn't allow me to move it past 2, why is that? and because of that the value doesn't work after the 3rd frame.
*update* if you have a problem like mine, the solution is by clicking in the mix node, remove the clamp and it will work just fine
My nodes don't look like yours. Do somebody know? I also don't have the "add" node.
i tried and followed the tutorial but the animation won‘t play. i am using eevee 3.5
You have probably already fixed this issue but if not I would double check that the mapping node that has the type set to point is connected to the "A" slot on the mix node. I had the same issue until I noticed this.
The only problem is that it's not a looping animation. Can anyone help me make it looping?
nintendo: demandable 😡 xd
my thing became pink for some reason
missing textures
Great tutorial! Such a cool effect. One thing, though: saying "go ahead and" in every sentence is kind of a bit much, and unfortunately, slightly irritating. Maybe try to leave that behind?
