As a resident Philadelphian. This is 90% accurate. Conshohocken is just the next town over from me toward Philly (I'm in Norristown) I've yet to meet an outsider who can pronounce that and the other towns correctly XD

They also throw in random Wawa and cheesesteak references that aren't even relevant to the story, they just put them in there to make it more "authentically Pennsylvanian"

A block of homes in Wissinoming, Philly partially collapsed into the crick running under the whole street. I’m in S. Jersey now & get a pool in my basement when it rains. My friend’s mom in Wilmington has the same problem. Building on crick was a bad idea that every developer in the Delaware Valley had going back probably before we created the USA.

Right now I’m on my jawn typing a jawn in reply to a jawn on the jawn. The word hasn’t been used in the show they’re parodying, but they exaggerated everything they might as well have tossed in a jawn, that whole board with all the connections had a photo of Philadelphia Cream Cheese & that’s never been made here. 😂
I just realized we need a prequel to E.T. - clearly he first spent time in some Philly kid’s closet before meeting Elliot. 🛸

@@constituenta5293 no, but my father passed away last Tuesday. He had pulmonary fibrosis. He was 72. I lost my father and my best friend.
@@mattparkent440 I am sorry for your loss. I lost my father in 2004 and my husband in 2009. My husband was definitely my best friend. He was a few weeks shy of 60. Grief counselling through the Stephen Ministry at the Episcopal Church was very helpful, but my world was still completely turned upside down. I don't know if youtube will help much, but I wish you well on this difficult journey.

Yes, Hockessin is in Delaware (near PA, but not PA). And Joe is from Scranton, which is not Philly.

They filmed part of it across the street from me. This had to be Jan 2020. I had no idea what was being filmed. It was at night and cold. I asked the guard watching the actor trailers. He said, " The girl from Titanic is in it and it is a show for HBO." I might have to subscribe just for this show.
