Salute to this great ship for serving 2 Imp Navies for so many years. She will at-last have a long rest post Feb 2016 when she will be decommissioned.
From 1959 to 2016 that's a long journey.
Post 1987 itself, she had had 5-6 mid service refits. Rest In Peace Now!

Built in Barrow, my home town. I remember the flight deck almost above me as I rode my scooter across the bridge from Barrow to Barrow Island. The bridge surface was planks, with tar and stones, but there were huge gaps between the plans! I didn't like it on my scooter, and I understand, the shipyard workers walking across didn't like it either!
