    Hi!
    I’m a second year uni student (law) in England with an opportunity to study abroad in my third year.
    My options are ANU, USYD and Monash university. As a brit I wanna be able to experience lovely beaches and the coast with good nightlife. However I want a good uni for my law course as well, what would you recommend? Thanks

      USYD

      @@qnms101 Thanks for the reply, why USYD?

      @qnms101 2 года назад

      @@joshlaverick2002 USYD and ANU are two of the best/highly ranked unis is Australia so I’ll definitely recommend them over Monash (although it’s definitely not bad). As for night life and beaches ANU is in Canberra so it’s way further from the beach then USYD and the nightlife is nowhere near as good.

      Yeah, agree. If « Beach » and « coast » are high priorities for you then Sydney is the best option.
      Are those the only 3 uni options?

      I’m currently at usyd law (influenced by a life that travels as it then was ;)). I love usyd and it’s a great uni. However, I’d consider UNSW too (another uni in Sydney). They’re teaching approach is much more practical (as opposed to usyd’s old fashioned theory based style) and they’re ranked pretty close to usyd (I think usyd is 13 in the world and unsw are 14).

    You have had a remark’s contribution towards my motivation to study in Australia as an International student. Just seek some guidance from you, should I study Juris Doctor at UNSW or University of Melbourne? How do both of them compare for legal studies?

    • @ChoosingYourUni
      @ChoosingYourUni  2 года назад

      Great! Glad to hear I could help in some small way.
      Both UNSW and UniMelb are excellent universities. I don't know their JD programs well so I wouldn't want to compare them, but both law schools are excellent (as a broad comment).
      UNSW isn't far from the beach and has a direct tram (30-40 mins, I think?) to the Sydney CBD. UniMelb is 5-10 minutes on the tram from the heart of Melbourne. Both cities have their pluses and minuses (depending on what you like).
      Both unis have strong extracurricular programs.

      @@ChoosingYourUni In extension to my last query, how does UWA stand in comparison to the UNSW and UOMelb? As and International student I’d be greatly rewarded if I study in a Regional area, but of course, ranking is a matter of great importance. What do you suggest sir?

    • @ChoosingYourUni
      @ChoosingYourUni  2 года назад

      Oh please don’t call me Sir! We’re very relaxed in Australia!
      My question is “why is ranking so important?”
      In Australia, if you’re hoping to stay afterwards, you’ll be judged far more by your skill and attitude than where you studied.
      There might be some workplaces where people are snobby and say “oh, if you didn’t study at university X, you’re not as good” but do you really want to work for people like that?
      UWA has several advantages imo
      It’s regional, it’s still an excellent reputable institution and it is smaller than HNSW and UniMelb.
      Perth is a wonderful city to live ans study in ans there’s heaps of work, particularly in the mining sector (if you’re okay working in those sorts of businesses).

      All three unis will give you a quality education and be good on your resume. So I would consider the “other” elements that might be important to you and look hard at those.

    Hey,
    I am a domestic student in Australia and received an offer for Bachelors in design from UNISA, UNSW and Swinburne university. I want to specialise in graphic/communication design. I know that UNSW and Swinburne university will allow me broaden my area of learning and won’t just be restricted to my major so I am leaning towards them. I can also choose two majors from both uni’s. I am not sure what university I should choose. Please help❤️

    • @ChoosingYourUni
      @ChoosingYourUni  2 года назад +1

      Swinburne has excellent work integrated learning. UNSW is strong for research and business and UniSA is a really great Uni that’s made a lot of great progress.
      Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide are all really different. Where are you based now and which city might you prefer?

    • @Harshi-rr9wx
      @Harshi-rr9wx 2 года назад

      @@ChoosingYourUni I am based in Adelaide. However, I do prefer Melbourne or Sydney as they have more fashion and graphic design opportunities or so I have heard. I am also doing an online part time diploma in fashion business which is based in Sydney. I am extremely confused between both cities and the courses.
