People on Facebook said Yakuza looked like some generic crime game and passed, so I told them there’s no other game that’s let you settle Territory Disputes with Disco
This is perfect. And I like to think that they're in that state by the end not because they're hurt, but just because they're old and tire faster now lol
And then Nishiki was defeated and went to train his dancing skills in a land far away. Kiryu will be there to duel him again in a dance fight. This is canon and don't convince me otherwise.
Cool fun fact: For this video, I used my own gameplay. I originally had a recording of the entire Nishiki fight ( with the intro cutscene and the cutscene afterward as well) but I discarded that footage after I saw that I had Steam notifications on. I booted up Yakuza Kiwami, loaded up a save I made right before the last fights, and said "hey, maybe I can fight Nishikiyama on hard difficulty with no healing, tiger drops, etc, so that it'll be a fun and honorable fight". I had forgotten that there happened to be a boss fight right before Nishiki. So imagine my absolute dismay as I realized that and found out what I had gotten myself into. I absolutely despise that Jingu fight, and after playing three other Yakuza games after Kiwami, I still think Jingu is the worst boss I've ever encountered.
Seeing this gameplay after playing the disco king is sending me into blood rage. Like BRO SO MANY STEPS YOU COULDA HIT. That man really broke me goddamn.
I actually failed and gave up against the disco king, however, I did complete the two dancing sidequests for both Kiryu and Majima after many retries. The gameplay you see here is me going back to Yakuza 0 after months of not playing it, so the fact that I still got 3 stars is a goddamn miracle.
Nishiki then uses his family to rake in money to keep Debolah open after Maharaja closed down and became sworn dance rivals with Kiryu to one say best him at dancing to reclaim his pride, cursing himself at failing to get down with his bad self and HAVING HIS MEN KILL A WAIFU Kiryu, Yumi and Haruka became a family, managing Morning Glory. What happened with Jingu? He slipped on a Royale and fell off the tower. After a thousand times of shooting and chucking nades at him, he got what he deserved.
I forgot what I was watching for a second when I went to go get something to eat and came back and was genuinely confused when no disco queen played thinking I’d see the boss fight go down
probably not because breaker style is breakdancing adapted to fighting with the breakdancing moves being slightly altered to hit enemies in a fight while kiryu is doing one normal move on a disco floor as opposed to doing all that breaker stuff on concrete
But majima is there too. We need a dance between them. If only we had the disco mini game in kiwami, too bad it didn't come back, even for one battle between majima and kiryu😭😭
Kazuma ultimately trolled Nishiki by choosing one of the hardest songs in the game, which nishiki had no experience in. Therefore, Kiryu had more chances of getting the victory.
Nishiki uses a keyboard bc he’s not a REAL yakuza. He wasn’t born with the tenacity and hardened spirit needed for that life. He had to struggle with awkward controls and glancing down at his buttons, and eventually? It broke him. All that effort but still he could not pass his brother, who at a young age was already legendary for his abilities, morales, and most importantly, his gamepad. 😔
