At the beginning of the video, you are between the old and new jetty. Knowing that there was an old jetty down there will help clarify some questions you have going on in your mind. The New Jetty was built 30 - 35 years ago. Maybe 40! I Enjoy the videos Mark! Keep up the great work!
Those jetties were way better before they paved them. Word of caution be careful wading the inside pocket there. I was there catching trout when a big ship came by. The water started sucking out before the ship arrived. Some weird physics goes on between the jetties! I never wade in there again. Also you can catch flounder on jigs parallel with the jetty on the channel side. When I mean along the rocks I mean literally against the rocks. Do not leave one nook or cranny without checking. Chickenboys , any color work. Those flatties inhale it. I've caught flounder right in front of people fishing many times.
lots of great fish there. but damn if those rocks dont take my tackle everytime I fish there. lost several big fish 20 yards off the jetty due to hang ups when landing it.
Hey mark did u launch from that jettie park sandy beach section and if u did how many miles paddlin is it from that launch towards end of jetties i am curious?!
Man, your cool, calm demeanor and expert oratory skills are like a cross between Bob Ross and Mr. Rodgers! Keeping us calm while we learn!👍
😂 thanks 🙏
Nice work.
good job, man
Just love watching your vids

Try with stingrays net tie :)
As much as I fish I know I've felt this way once or twice, do you ever feel like you're gonna burn out because of your dedication to fishing
Not at all. Every trip is a new adventure and it’s all peace and quiet.
@@MDLRFishing ain't that the truth, when I don't go for more than a month I end up getting withdrawals LOL. Kudos buddy
😂
great video
I always wonders how deep the jetty’s waters are ! Thank you Mark. Great video
Great video
Thanks Rolo!
Nice job, info you need to know for those days you can’t go out on the water but want to fish the jetty. Great idea. Tight lines Mark.
I would like you to do a walk though, on your hummingbird.
Mount, wires, batteries, sounders.
Already done it. Just search Humminbird on my channel and you’ll find it.
thank you, that was a great information
Thanks for sharing! Great video!
Great video! Very informational. I wish you could embed a live shot of your Hummingbird in your video like PIP on some TVs.
I was thinking the same thing. Wish he could record the Hummingbird screen.
Great idea, I’ll see what I can do.
@@MDLRFishing I found this video as an example. They have different layouts for the embedded screen ruclips.net/video/BnWyBi6e5Ls/видео.html
You are killing me, I live in Dallas and hate it. Sure love me some Surfside. Keep the vids coming.

Noticed you were in a Predator. What happened to the Topwater?
The Predator is faster so I like using it more.
It was nice to finally meet you the other night Mark!!
Good to meet you too!
Thanks for putting in the work and sharing the results! I’m hoping to take the Hobie out there in the next year or so to try it out.
do you not fish Bryan beach side?
Not really.
@@MDLRFishing I always had better fishing There for some reason with less tackle loss! enjoy your vids Thanks ! Capt Doug
Did you say 6lb flouro leader?????
I was out on labor day weekend by Quintana trailer park and i caught my first giant sheepshead it was great and delicious!!!👍🤙🤙
Not skunked!
you are quite brave to kayak in the channel.
There in the marsh
The fish?
What kind of finder are you using? Model ,kind please. Do you like it ?
It’s a Humminbird Helix 7 G3 MSI
Marcos I go to that same Bait Camp Bro, need to get my Viking back out there
Some RUclips kayak fisherman just got hit by boat.
Ahhh, I need to get back out there, we’ve been waiting to the weather to drop in temp, soon soon soon.
Not bad for fishing in chocolate milk...lol. Good video.
Good action on that baitcast rod. Too bad it cut the line

Enjoyed the video. Just asking... Mainly what time of year do you regularly go out fishing in your kayak??
I go year round as often as possible.
Have you done a scan like this of Matagorda Jetties?
I’ve never been there before.
Be interesting if someone would scuba dive it and get footage.
Hmm...I just got my scuba open water certification last week! LOL
Any issues on kayak when biggg ships coming thru channel or tug boats
i see you have both the old town and Hobie, do you had a preference regarding stability, speed, etc.
I prefer the Outback for skinny water marsh fishing and the Predator PDL for everything else. The Predator is faster and has instant reverse.
i'm planning on getting a new kayak & fish finder set up next spring,I have a sit in kayak now, I hope it will be worth the investment

Yes, it’s probably 3/4 of a mile.
MDLR Fishing hey bro thankz
MDLR Fishing did u encounter any bigg ships or other boats causing waves while on kayak
😎😎😎😎
When the sea and swell is down I would have fished just outside the break up and down the coastline
Where do you have your transducer mounted ?
Right under the bow just in front of the PDL drive.
I want to scan the T-Jetty in the Absecon Inlet -- Atlantic City
