This is the best and most insightful review I have seen by far! Covers every aspect of the u8g I have been looking for. If your looking for all the info you need, it's right here. Very professional review!!!!
Honestly, I would have probably gotten this TV but I learned about and I "fell in love" with the LG C1 OLED. If I was a TV in the bedroom person then this is what I would have gotten and kept the OLED in the TV room. But alas, I am not. That said, I would not discourage anyone from getting this TV especially if they'd rather stick within a certain price range. Now is the time to get a TV actually. The Black Friday prices are ridiculous.
@@rickhunter1317I could say yes to that big difference but here's the thing, they are two different types of TVs. Both are good but not in the same class. For a lot of people it boils down to cost, best bang for your buck if you will. I chose to wait and save because I've always liked OLED and decided to stop wishing and make it happen. Took a while. I only just got it 3 days ago (small sale w/some discounts). So far I have no regrets about viewing quality. I'm not a fan of the remote but I won't return it for that reason. I don't believe you can go wrong with either.
That was an extremely well done review . I have seen them at Best Buy and like them. The only thing is I have had a Sony for over ten years that hasn't missed a beat. Do you feel this is a TV that would be reliable for a good number of years? Thats the part I wonder about. I know Hisense is a China based company.
The Jump from U6G to U7G is huge - - just the 60Hz to 120Hz alone is worth the money But the Jump from U7G to U8G is nominal to the point it, in my opinion doesn't justify the price difference, unless there's discounts during Black Friday or cyber Monday
@@kellychristian8814 so far so good. Motion is smooth and using my Xbox I haven’t noticed any tearing or freezing. Picture quality is good. I used some settings from another RUclipsr and it made it pop like gorgeous. I love it. It’s well built. The tv stand is heavy. None of my Best Buy’s around here had any displays so I took a chance and I’m glad I did. Hope this helps.
Hi David, I see. The U9G is completely in its own league with 8k capabilities and it's available in 75". I was more toward talking to about the 4k lineup of Hisense in this video. Thank you for checking out our review. Hope this clears out any confusion.
Wondering if DLNA is still a feature being offered on Smart TVs today. I actually have no interest in internet streaming but would still very much like to playback my own media from my local NAS. This doesn't appear to be talked much about anymore. Perhaps the term "DLNA" has just disappeared but local network media playback is still an option. It might also need an "app" for this, I suppose.
With the H9G you could display/check the incoming resolution on any source (HDMI any any streaming app) .. I often found prime video not displaying 4k, even though their app claimed otherwise, can the U8G do this as well?
So I’ve had this tv now a couple weeks in my game room and it’s great although some times the frame rates of shows are a little off, absolutely worth the price and if you compare it to my 65 Sony oled a80j it absolutely stands up, although viewing angles aren’t the best. Which definitely shows the cost difference since it’s like 30% the cost of the Sony. Overall a great tv that I would definitely recommend.
The Hisense U8G is better than the Sony X900H in terms of reflections handling, contrast, and local dimming. If I have to choose between the Sony's X900H and Hisense U8G, I would personally choose the Hisense in these two. Hope this answer your question.
I bought one but I’m having issues with it having a stutter when streaming. Even when I use my Apple TV 4K on it, it still stutters when streaming :/ can any on help? I don’t want to return it but If I can’t find a fix I’ll have to
@@slavonskibecar I see. After doing some research, I found out that the issue of ghosting only happens when you are on HDMI 2.1 ports (HDMI 3, 4 in the TV) and running games at 4k@60Hz instead of doing the native 4k@120Hz. So, the current fix for this is to switch the port to HDMI 2.0 (HDMI 1, 2) when playing games at 4k60Hz and not 4k@120Hz. Hisense engineering team is also aware of this issue and currently working on a software patch to fix the issue. Hope this answers your question.

I got the 55" back in september, this has been the best money spent on the year.
One of the best tv advertisement you made here
Amazon Prime Days allowed me to get the 65U8G for $799, down from $949. I've had it for several days now and wow, it's amazing.
This is been one of the most helpful TV reviews that I've seen and I've been watching quite a few lately. Thank you for all your research
I chose this TV. Delivery tomorrow. This review made me feel good about my choice.
Just bought this for $750 and at that price point it is a no brainer
found the 65" at amazon got it in 2 days wow is all i can say so close to oled coming from 1080p ,4k what a difference
Just got this on sale today. From 999.00 to 598.00. Haven't upgraded in several years but just got the ps5. Can't wait

Question - so is the C1 worth the $700 price increase over the 65 inch U8g which goes for 999 right now?

Great review. Leaning towards u8g now that it's $1000. How would you rank it amongst Sony x90j and tlc r646? (These are the 3 I'm narrowed down to)
Best Buy has them for $750. I just ordered one. That's for the 55inch. The 65 is $1k
Just got for $863 on amazon for the 65
Would you choose the U7G 65 in over the U8G 55 in. They are priced kind of the same right now.
My remote control is different? Same model 55” U8G but it’s the sleeker smaller metal design remote, in Australia ... IDK why
How’s the the black levels in a dark room? You think better than the Sony A80J? I was thinking about getting the 77” in Black Friday
Just wondering whether it had Bluetooth Web OS magic remote. Because the LG has got all that and it's a better price
