      Hello, have you tried the TV's media player? My movie collection is stored on an external hard drive with 4k files with TrueHD Atmos and DTSX. I was wondering if it will play these files?Thanks

    • @MyGadgetsWorld

      @@davidross7255 for that you can actually use Plex server app which is far better in managing your library. Or in my case I tried VLC player which did good job and also played DTS track.

      @@MyGadgetsWorld Thanks for the reply. Vlc won't play Dolby TrueHD Atmos, DTSHDMA or DTSX only the core AC3 and DTS formats. I use a beelink gt king pro with coreelec. I prefer local storage over Plex but would like to have a TV capable of playing these files directly as well. Is it possible that you could test the TV with a usb drive and see if the TV will be able to play these files directly?

    Nice video review you made. I m actually thinking of buying either this u8g or the x90j for the '55 inches. I know Sony has excellent upscaling feature due to its superior processor. How's the upscaling in u8g? Does it upscale 720p and 1080p very well? Also, have you tried plugging a usb drive and does it play video files well? I appreciate your input. • @rizzo-films
      @rizzo-films 3 года назад

      @@haniigg not sure about ghosting but what I know about the difference between the screen sizes is that because of fewer dimming zones, the 55" has issues with scenes that have extreme differences in contrast, such as a star field. The 65" can achieve a decent difference between bright points of light and the deep blacks of space, but the 55" has trouble with that and allows some grayness into the black areas, and in some cases it's pretty bad. However, it would be an improvement for me since my current 55" (Vizio) only has like 34 dimming zones, and the amount of space I have available is quite limited. So that's important to think of. But, if you can move things around to make room, and can afford the 65", definitely go with 65". Otherwise it seems like 55" is still a huge value for this price range.

      I mean its really not a big deal. On most everyday items, the tax is pretty negligible.

      It handles 24p easily with motion off. If you feel need for interpolation then Film motion mode is amazing for motion without introducing any soap opera effect.

    No One take this wrong, but why does no one ever mention PC gaming when reviewing TVs. We've been able to do 4k 120hz for a while now actually, the displayport 1.4 standard was released in 2016 and some 10 series cards have DP 1.4 allowing them to display 4k 120hz. Don't say we didn't have the power to run 4k 120hz because we could especially with a 1080 or 1080ti with some settings turned down they could easily play a lot of games in 4k 120hz. But yeah great video!

    This TV has horrible banding in dark scenes...well horrible banding overall. The image isn’t as sharp as my 2015 Bravia and scenes are overly bright. washing out all contrast. Also every motion option introduces ghosting except “Film”. Im returning it soon (55”)

    • @MyGadgetsWorld
      @MyGadgetsWorld  3 года назад +1

      You can see my gameplay was recorded in totally dark room and there was no banding. Ghosting is really issue when you are playing 4K 120hz which I did not experience on this unit. I have read in forums that hisense is working on fixing that via software update.

    • @jayyemm69
      @jayyemm69 3 года назад

      @@MyGadgetsWorld I must’ve gotten a really bad panel then, because I was watching the new conjuring movie and the banding was horrible in dark scenes even after the update. I beg to differ. When playing content in 4K at 60 HZ scenes have horrible ghosting and glitchy effects. Film is the only mode where everything seems fine, but to have 5 motion options where only one works is ridiculous especially when they upped their prices.

    • @MyGadgetsWorld
      @MyGadgetsWorld  3 года назад +2

      @@jayyemm69 yes I also use film mode for motion because all other modes bring soap opera effect and make movies too smooth.

      @jayyemm69 3 года назад

      @@MyGadgetsWorld soap opera effect was def a big reason why I didn’t want to make the switch to 4K. So film motion is def the best option ATM. I also discovered a dead pixel on my TV, so I’m def returning it :( . I lost the panel lottery bad!

    • @monstalova

      I have a previous model hisense and compared to a Sony or other higher end sets I found the Hisense to be nowhere near as sharp. The clarity just isn't there especially to Sony who are know for having the best contrast modulation. No matter what settings I used, it just couldn't compare. They have the best specs for a LED TV but just not the processing to match it. I have some banding in scenes whether it be 4k bluray or streaming. 1080p or lower it's usually everywhere. Hisense is fine for the price but you won't be getting that ultimate picture other than the very good black levels
