- Simple before and after video of what the M5 sounds like after downpipe install. It's perfect. Still quiet under normal driving, but sounds awesome at wide open throttle. I am very satisfied. I don't need to fool with the stock mufflers now. Tou can really hear those turbos now too.
Why are people buying aftermarket exhausts if just a set of downpipes makes the M5 sound so good? It really sounds fantastic..
Yeah it's crazy! They are way over priced. I like the stock look. Makes the car look classy still.
Vrsf downpipes, intercooler & intakes is all u need .
Was the exhaust totally stock in the first clip?! Sounds good!!
Yes. First vid all stock
@@BAD09G8GT but upgraded M performance exhaust
king of the road
Is it me or is this a higher tone / more exotic?
Did you have to tune the car to get rid of the check engine light ?
Sounds amazing!!! Have you ran into any problems with the downpipes ? how many miles did you put on it with the downpipes in it as well, im asking because i want to do this but worried about reliability standpoint
How was the fitment on the downpipes? Did you install them yourself?
Nice!!
since you installed the downpipe till now, any major issue till today? any gear slip? how did u get rid of the check engine light?
Tune out the rear o2 sensors to remove engine light
@@BennosCamaroare u on stock tune or did u just turn off rear o2 sensors only ?
Are u in ny? if that so,im curious about the inspection after catless dp install
Hey I have an m5 2013, I was thinking of downpipe and stage 1, did you need to change anything in engine to tune it to stage1? thank you.
No sir. Stage 1 is safe. I have gone to stage 2, and been that way for 50k miles and still good
Dude that shit is brutal 🤤
Where did you order it from ? Can you send me an link when you got an min, thanks
I got mine from a fellow M6 owner that bought them and never installed them
How is regular driving? Is it still civilized or more or less loud all around?
Quiet as heck until u jump on it. U can't even tell i have downpipes during normal driving
@sitnoff downpipes on stock exhaust at normal driving is very tame. U might not notice a difference. But once u go wide open, ooooh boy, those turbos scream and the exhaust sounds awesome
What center diffuser do you have?
Autotecknic
What brand is it ?
So nice, what downpipes are those?
VRSF
What down pipes? What after market things are you all running?
VRSF downpipes. BOOTMOD3 tune, Project Gamma intakes
Was the stage 1 with stock exhaust and stock downpipe made with pop and bang or it was just hp tune? Curoius, im picking mine f10 competition soon and definietly want to make stage 1
The stage 1 vid was with catless downpipe and stock mufflers. And of course stage 1 tune. I did go to a stage 2 for a couple months and the pops were wven more aggressive. To the point it annoyed me. So i put stage 1 back in for now
@@BAD09G8GT I mean first footage, You writed "stage 1 with stock exhaust and stock downpipe" it sound like pops and bang when you rev ;)
@@galasky100 ahh ok. Yeah the first one was stock downpipes and exhaust. Only thing i did was wire the flapper valve in the muffler to stay open all the time.
@@BAD09G8GT What about going back to Stage 2 but with High Performance Cats? More expensive, but then you'd get Stage 2 without the attention grabbing pops.
@@sdrawkcab7761 i have a stage 2 tune that has no pops too now
How do you feel about reliability might tune mine down the line and do down pipes any problems?
Reliability is decent. But the updated fuel injectors are a must! And valve seals
@@BAD09G8GT What injectors did you get? Link, please? Did you also upgrade fuel pumps and fuel lines?
Any problems with the car and how’s the maintenance on this. Been deciding on either this or a c63s amg.
Well, had to have all 8 injectors replaced, along with valve seals. And just got rod bearings replaced as preventive maintenance.
The only thing I hear is the fact that you filmed on the windiest days of the year.
LOL
I have a 535ix and droll over the m5!
That sounds nasty 🥵
Does it smell much?
Its not too bad to me.
What tune are you running? Stage 1 by what company or tuner?
Bootmod3. I am stage 2 now
That is one mean 500hp V8....
U have intakes ?
Project gamma intakes
UNCIVIL M5 I’ve heard intakes are bad for our cars
@@dieselcorebuyer2701 never had an issue. Nor anyone i know who has them. Only issue i heard was a guy that lived in Dubai. But they have major sand storms
@@BAD09G8GT Depending on what intakes , if you have oiled ones you will run into dirty Mass Air Sensor issues eventually, some MAS cleaner will fix it
@@dieselcorebuyer2701 The Project Gamma & MSR Intakes do let in a lot more fine dirt. I'd recommend looking at the Dinan Carbon Fiber intake system. It adds two additional cold air intake snorkels and uses air filters that are better at filtering fine particles that the other two aforementioned brands don't. Enhanced benefit of airflow and additional cold air intake directly from in front of the radiators without sacrificing filtration quality.
Where did you buy the flaps?
I'm sorry. What flaps?
Its wayy better which downpipe
f10 farts vs s85
all you need is a jb4
