    Nice tractor!
I just picked up it predecessor, a C-110 and immediately noticed the soft feel on the clutch pedal and was disappointed. I'm used to a very stout spring on the clutch return to snap the pedal back to its station position. I will be making a similar effort to replace the spring however the spring you used did not seem up to the task. I'll be looking for more of Hooks law in action.
Have had some Airens and Gravely mowers so will scout out my parts bins to see what I can find.
Great mowers. Can't wait to make mine hum.

I use that exact same Wheelhorse to mow my lawn. It is a really great tractor. Good video, I enjoyed it!

Thank you for showing us your nice WH. Awesome job sir. I have a 74 B 100 with a rear discharge, and a 85 417-A with side discharge. Thank you for your time with your videos.

Awesome video. I enjoyed it and have one thing to add that i think may help. I believe oiling/lubing both pivot points at the rod and where the pedal pivots too would help with pedal return and make it fell silky smooth. Yes lube attracts dirt but i feel the benefits of lubing far outweighs the dirt issue.

Those 300 series were great! Especially the newer ones with the Magnum engines.

    Nice Video Bud! 🤝
I need help with my 310-8, I went to use it yesterday and I hear squealing when trying to engage deck then smell a little rubber I’m guessing from the belt. What would cause that? This is my first WH and so far I like it. It mowed fine last week. Not sure what happened. Thanks Again! 🤝

      Here's 3 possibilities:
      1. If the mower deck drive belt is loose it might squeak, make sure the belt is the right tension.
      2. If the mower deck drive belt is worn out it might ride too low in the pulley and not get traction. It has to be riding on the angled part of all the pulleys.
3.If the mower deck can't turn for any reason, like a bad spindle bearing or something jammed in the blades, the belt might slip is it can't turn the mower. Disconnect the drive belt and make sure the blades turn easy.

Thanks for the video. can you tell me what spark plugs you are running on that horse?

Kohler calls for a Champion RH10C for a Magnum 12 engine. And the book says if there's in R in the number, it's probably a resistor plug, and sometimes that's required to work well with the electronic ignition.

I have wheel horse 312-8 and it’s been sitting for about 5 years now and now it doesn’t go into gear. Do you have any advice on this particular problem? Thanks

If the shifter moves forward and back like it normally would but don't move sideways at all, the shifter rails inside might be stuck or rusted. Pull the drain plug and see if water comes out first. If no water comes out put the plug back in.
If you remove the shifter boot there's a full dog set screw with a lock nut. If you remove the set screw you can remove the shifter and look down into the hole.
When you put it back together both rails should be in neutral, the tip of the setscrew goes into the hole of the shifter pivot ball. When you tighten the lock nut, the screw should be in as far as possible without binding the shifter movement.

@@PackratsFabrications I really appreciate the advice. It moves freely side to side in neutral but will not go into any of the gears , so the shifter rails are probably the problem. It sat out exposed to the elements, and I looked at it today and the shift boot is half gone, so water probably did get in.

If the tip of that set screw breaks off the top of the shifter can move side to side but the shifter is really twisting. That's an easier problem to fix, check the tip of that set screw. there should be an unthreaded portion at the tip about 1/8 inch long to go into the shifter pivot ball hole. It has to be a full-dog style or at least a half-dog style set screw, not everybody sells them.

@@PackratsFabrications Thanks again, I’ll check it out tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Thanks for taking the time to help a guy out 👍

If it has the "shock" on it,that can mess up your pedal. Shock looks like a hood strut mounted on the right side.
