5:56 - a perfect example of why umpires must be alert 100% of the time the play is ongoing. If the chair umpire was concentrating on the point right through until the ball was fully dead (in this case resting in the net) not just when the line judge called “out”, it would have been clear to her that the player stopped her shot due to the line judge’s call. It’s a replayed point every day of the week.

He went completely NUTS at the other baseline ballboy at my end for having thrown him a ball from the previous point's rally (tbh, until then I had no idea that you weren't to do that, so THANK GOD I didn't commit the same sin first!), swore like a trucker after almost every point that he lost & even got into a massive argument with his opponent because Castle was smashing almost every fault that the guy served back at him, which we ALL hate...anyway, Castle lost in 5 sets & I was RAPT to see the prick lose!!
And now he's a TV commentator & appeared on that retarded "Strictly Come Dancing" show, so there's clearly no accounting for taste among some Brits, sadly...apologies for the verbosity of this 'novel', my friend!

Wow, I think umpire's decision in Hsieh-Sabalenka (about 7:50) is really embarassing. It's obvious that Hsieh stopped playing because Sabalenka showed her finger, she's calling the challenge; the umpire gave the point to Sabalenka because Hsieh did not run to the ball, so she would have lost the point anyway; but it's clear that she stopped AFTER Sabalenka showed the finger, and that she could have reached the ball, since that dropshot was not good at all. Wow, very creative (in a negative way) umpire.

Nick's anti-establishment, stepping-outside-the-match to point out the inequities involved in judging for this sport- at least for me- makes him less of a sore-loser or unsportsman-like than it makes him a tennis activist. What he says can be observed, be it about the beloved trio (Fed, Nad, Djok) being favored and line judges being irresponsible for making mistakes, and chair umps taking advantage of their position. What Nick wants is good for the sport, and his antics can be viewed as childish by some degree, sure. But one thing is certain. Not only is he right, but his antics brought you to the awareness of the problem- for better or for worse- and that's what activism is.

Hawkeye was completely wrong. And if you watch 1:38 - 1:41 on RUclips 0.25 times slow motion with zoomed in screen you will see that Ostapenko's return was in. It landed right on the line. Both times umpire got it absolutely wrong. Those of you who disagree with me, buy glasses or binoculars or better yet learn when the ball is in and when it's out.

Empires like Aurélie Tourte should have to pay fines for those kind of mistake. At the time, the player should ve called the supervisor and refuse to play if chair empire was not replaced, but the player herself didnt realise what the mistake was because of the line's call, so she made a mistake too on her argument. But no excuse for the empire, maybe was not on purpose, but my experience tells me that with Halep on the other side, the umpire wanted to favour her - Ive seen it thousands of times - These empires are disgraceful and total disrespectful for the work of unknown underdogs !!!

Wow, that call from the umpire in the Halep match was just brutal. How could no one tell her the ball went in after Halep’s ball. And totally lost respect for Ostapenko/Sabalenka, what cheaters.

How do become a line judge in tennis? How's that interview go? "Do you have previous experience snitching on ppl for the pettiest reasons?" If so apply today.

Krygios was right in every one of his moments. Those balls were so far out, even I could see from my phone.
