Nice headgead Carlo. Like you mentioned, I have to get nose surgery which doctor told me to have at least 3 months of no contact to nose. I was thinking to get a face saver headgear for after the 3 months in order to be on the safe side for a few months after. In your opinion do you think the face savers do a good job protecting the nose? And which face saver would you recommend? Thanks in advance for all your help 🥊
If you legitimately want the best protection I'd recommend investing in the FG 5000. Better protection for nose than rival or cleto reyes in my opinion. You need to make sure you bend the bar so its far enough from your nose, but understand, if you take a heavy punch it just pushes the bar into your nose so there really isn't "true protection". Stay bladed as much as you can and keep your lead arm elbow up like an "L" and palm towards your opponent and keep it at your nose AT ALL TIMES if you want better protection with the face saver.
@@mikeyp8778 thanks for the reply. I've definitely been putting off the procedure for this reason. But then it might be worth the investment to stay safe or wait longer
As MikeyP8778 said if you are willing to invest the money the Winning Fg-5000 is by far the best and will last the longest. Mine is still in perfect condition after consistently sparing/training in it.

Appreicate you Carlos! Strap is being worked on - great call out.
Will definitely buy Vali gear for the gym now that I know they listen to their reviewers.
@@jamesrodriguez3599 Thanks! We've now updated the strap to include brackets.
@@valisportswhen will the updated product be available? Looking to purchase
@@usmanfarooq96 Hi Usman, it’s been updated already.
did you guys also move the strap positioning a little more forward onto the chin so that way it’s not choking people on the throat?
For anyone seeing this in 2024. Vali has updated the strap with a quick clip closure to replace the velcro.
thanks for the update bruva.
Bro I was wondering if you could please do a review on the Vali Nista face save please man🙏🏾

I am a man of a few words
Me too
Wouldn’t it be roughly 4 ounces heavier than Winning rather than 14 ounces heavier?

Premier 2.0
What’s the difference between Vali’s Lancer line and their Nista line?
Lancer is a bit more expensive but higher quality, real leather, laces instead of Velcro on the back, plastic clip instead of Velcro chin strap
Is the difference between the Lancer and the Nista worth the $30 extra?

Cool.
Would you recommend this facesaver or the top boxer headgear?
Topboxer headguard is heavier and chunkier than this one.
@@Somnus88 Thanks for the information! Ended up going with the fly facesaver, very glad that I did
