Amazing review as always! Recently broke my nose during Muay Thai sparring. I know that the best solution for defense is to improve head movement but cannot afford to be out from training and work for another 2-3 weeks. What would you recommend for a face saver headgear under $200?
Are there any other options besides bar headgear to protect the eyes? Specially for those like me that use eye contact lenses. I'm trying to find the best solution. Thanks!
I was wearing this face saver in sparring and I got caught on the nose and my nose is swollen. How is this? I thought it was supposed to protect your nose?
Hm does the bar touch your nose? If you press on the sides of the headgear you should be able to get the bar further away from your nose. Or did your sparring partner wear too small gloves and got between the gap?
What is the size of your head ? I notice the medium is 21-22.5 and the large is 22.5-24 if I fall right in the middle at 22.5 should I get med or large ?
How would you say this compares to the Fly SuperBar X? Trying to decide between the 2, Fit2Box ranks the SuperBar X higher, but usually defer to your opinions first =).
@@Moham153 I got the Phenom because Fly was sold out of the color I wanted. I can't complain, it has pretty good visibility and is very protective. It does feel pretty heavy, but the protection is great. Can't comment on the Fly, I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Broke my nose twice while sparring and jut ordered this headgear in blue because I don't wanna hurt my nose anymore. Hope it's worth it!

Does it protect you better if for example you receive a punch to the forehead? Or still same like with cheek protector?

Is their mexican type of headgear a bit better just terms of visibility?
Any headgear if fitted properly that doesn’t have a bar in front will have better visibility imo

My head is 22.5 too and ordered a large. You can always bend it to fit your face if its too big

My first headgear was massive and I hate wearing it, looking at this I don’t know what size of headgear to go for considering mine was medium
