I didn't thought this was possible in such a small amount of time (if ever). My deepest respect to everyone involved in the recreation of the band. And well... of course "You're not alone ... Sophie whereever you are!"
This was a very good performance. I was there too. All tracks on the orchestral tape were clearly distinguishable from each other and it was as if you were listening to the CD. These performing musicians are not very interesting, so they were low in the mix. I hope to see them often.

Daß Martijn sein Handwerk versteht, Sander und Ronald ihre Instrumente beherrschen, war zu erwarten. Ludovico - echt ein Phänomen (ohne mit Rob oder Otto vergleichen zu wollen). Diana, eine sehr sympathische Frau, klingt auf dem Album überwältigend. Bühnenpräsenz, etwa wie Charlotte - daran muß sie arbeiten. Und daran, live jeden Ton zu treffen, auch in von ihr nicht gern bespielten Lagen.

Brava and bravo to the new band members, especially Landa whose cover of Cordell was so on point. I am proud of Delain.
Few people then, including journalists, understood how Delain's "creative kitchen" actually worked: Everyone thought that the whole band had left, only the keyboardist remained, but in fact most of the departed musicians were only "hired guns" for touring, so except for Charlotte (and guitarist Timo Somer on "Apocalypse & Chill" album) they didn't participate in the songwriting. Martijn and studio guitarist Guus Eikens have been the main creative core in making music all these years - and they are still in the band, so really little has changed except for the singer and lyricist.
@@dagonluke I don't agree with you, I really like the lyrics of Diana and Robin. I also like that Delain deliberately moved away from political topics, which would have been impossible with Charlotte, who with her "activism" has become increasingly annoying in recent years.
Not listening to DeLain so often but I clearly hear the diff between Dianas and Charlottes voices. So I totaly agree with you. I´m sure Diana working on this.
The first three Delain albums were released on Roadrunner records: A label that, as I noticed, is quite strict with copyright and reactors often have problems with their music. Although live versions of songs recorded with phones shouldn't be noticed by RUclips algorithms, apparently something in this performance of "April Rain" was so close to the studio version that it was noticed by the system.
When I saw this I just noticed that Charlotte is no longer with them. But this was an excellent concert. Thanks for sharing. Whatever happened to the other female guitarist. She also left I assume.
Merel Bechtold already left in 2019. She was only hired because a blonde girl on stage would stimulate ticket sales. As a second guitarist, she had no musical input whatsoever and was therefore not replaced when she left.

It's Ronald his alltime favorite song. When the covered this song during the first period of Ronald he also was the one who came up with the idea to play this song. At that time he didn't develop his vocals so much.

Diana is really good and has a great voice. I love Charlotte and I was skeptical about a replacement but she is very talented. The only thing I keep noticing on her shows is that even tough she has a powerful voice, she lacks energy and it is not very good interacting with the public. Am I the only one who notices that?
She is new to singing live in front of audience. She will get more comfortable the more live shows she does. The important thing at the moment is that she can really sing very good live.
