  • We installed a new portable dishwasher onto my sink, and sure enough on the first cycle, the sink sprayer popped apart from being under constant pressure just like the dishwasher manual warned us. On further review. it told us to cap and remove the sprayer. I figured we could get around this by installing a shutoff valve in the hose for the sprayer so we wouldnt have to remove it.

Yes, with the valve in line, it works great. If I want to use the sprayer handle, I just have to turn the valve.

Is the sprayer line a 'screw on' metal connector or a 'quick-connect' connector? On mine, it's a plastic quick connector and I cannot seem to find any quick connectors or caps so I can hook up the portable dishwasher.
