im a 12v installer. i install these vantrues all the time. if you wire it to constant instead of ign and then enable parking mode it will record on impacts all the time even when the car is off. the screen will time out after a few min also
After watching this vlog I literally bought 2 of these dash cam. It's crazy cause last week I got different cams that suck ass, so now gonna return those. But ya thanks for vloging those
I’ve been watching Johann’s channel for a while now and I don’t know what it is about this video that I’ve realized how beautiful Johanna is. Such a pretty woman 😮.
If you go to the FIRM, make sure your brakes pads are new and you are using high temp brake fluid like Castrol SRF or Motul 660. It is a fun track but it is brutal on brakes. I would also get an instructor even if it is for 1/2 day. It is a technical track and there are a few tricky turns. There are a few youtube videos that will help you. Glad you are trying other types of car racing. Have fun.
Adding a couple mentions: I remember reading something Tony Palo said ages ago - for road course duty, cooling has the higher priority so packaging the turbo, manifold, and other power adders gets a lower priority. This is a good point because most of the time you can’t use all the horsepower except for the front and back straights, which only represent a small % of a lap’s time. You also won’t be able to use all of the car at first because it takes time to learn the protocols and a new set of skills. I don’t think anybody goes out and sets an unbeatable best time the first time out. It’s complex enough that you’ll always be able to improve the more you do it.
You're 100% wise not to do drag racing in an EVO. AWD vehicles really aren't designed for that despite all the videos you see on RUclips of people doing that with them. In time it will destroy the transfer case and probably the transmission too. It goes without saying that it costs a ton of money to rebuild those or even find someone who knows how to rebuild them correctly. That out of the way I'm looking forward to seeing what the EVO can do on the track.
