I’m actually extremely happy with my lippie collection & have to remind myself that I never say “oh I wish I had _____ shade/finish/package” until a marketing campaign hits me! After my last order from yesstyle, I also know that I’m likely a k/j/c-beauty lippie girl now. Don’t sleep on mansly cosmetics, btw, ultra frugal & so far, fabulous texture/application & decent wear.

another thing to consider with these minis, especially liquid blushes and lipsticks, is their ergonomics, as it were. are you gonna be quite happy with a smaller applicator? is it really comfortable to hold that mini bullet? I’m not so sure
Just to add a perspective. I travel to and from my work city and home city everyweekend (4 hours one way. Idk if this matters) and I get sick of bringing my big makeup bag for just 1 night, so I purchase minis to have as a travel makeuo kit which lasts a few months. Frequent short term travels is a big use for minis. 😊

I also wanted to pop a comment on the scent From The Garden- I LOVE it!!! You can definitely smell the tomato leaf in there and it’s quite different, but in the BEST way possible! I have gotten many compliments when wearing it.❤
That unisex sampler set came out earlier this year, but I think Sephora mistakenly released it early. I bought it and had to go in store to redeem the coupon, since it wasn't working online (that's why it has such bad reviews). They quickly removed it from the site after so many complaints. Glad to see it's back, though, since it's a nice collection of scents! Except for Bois de Balincourt, which smelled like pickles on me. 😂
I had an annoying experience with that unisex set. I wanted to redeem the certificate for glossier you - The certificate said it redeemed for the rollerball, which Sephora doesn’t carry anymore - they now have the travel spray. I wasn’t allowed to redeem for the spray because it had a different sku than the rollerball. 🙄🙄Hopefully if they are keeping this set around (I got it during the last sale) they fix this issue for.

I've been interested in the blushes and they are all different colors and formulas that I have never tried. Merit is meh for me, I've tried enough from them and was not impressed. I've never had a real beauty blender. Overall I thought there was enough value for me.❤❤
I loved the Gleamy Dreamy set because a bunch of the items were things I wanted to try. Several (4 I would say) of the items are “a little goes a long way” I was very pleased with the variety ❤
I’m so glad you did this video. I was almost suckered into one of the kits because like you said, I was really focused on one product. However, the other products were nice, but not shades I would wear. I would probably put most of the items in a drawer where they would sit and expire.

I got the blush set (which is already completely sold out online and there’s no restock) AND I got the lip set. I don’t feel gypped in any way, shape, or form. I don’t understand how you can call any of these a scam when you’re actually saving money. If you don’t want it - simply don’t buy it. Don’t label it as a “scam” for that reason because that’s what it seems like.
I bought this set and am so happy I did! I really really like all the lip products. I just checked the Sephora app and this set is already sold out. Hopefully it comes back in stock soon - I would definitely recommend!
I was just reviewing these and realized some of their perfume favorite sets are upwards of $88 and $90 for samplers! At least in the photo these look like samplers we used to get for free. Why do we now have to pay for these?? Outrageous!

Oh, I just saw something sketchy was going on with the lipkits. They restocked these last night but for cheaper. People are requesting the price difference refund. You should look into it.

I'm a big fan of Merit products; it works well for my 40-something combination skin. That said, the one product that I've tried from them that doesn't work for me is this highlighter. It's the wrong kind of shiny for me.
I think my problem with the kits is that a lot of time I don't want that many items, I need like a smaller kit that is maybe 3 items with 1 full size and 2 delux minis or maybe the full kit with the option to trade out colors
So, the 💩 with the perfume one is that the glossier you is for the roller bottle that is not on the damn website anymore because it got replaced with a spray. That set only came out in freaking April and one of the products is completely gone already!!! I have yet to contact customer support because of course that's the one I wanted damn it.
I picked up the lip kit and it came in the mail today. Since I used a gift card it was even more of a value. I was presently surprised by the kosas lipstick. It’s a pretty rose shade not a cooled tone pink. The only thing that I don’t like is the mini size doesn’t apply in one swipe like a regular sized lipstick. Also clarins looks super pretty over it if you want a more opaque juicy lip. I actually wear the bronzing drops mixed into a serum as foundation on no makeup days since it’s so hot I don’t want to actually wear foundation but I want something to even out my skin tone and match my face to my body tan. I don’t think I would use them other seasons though because I wouldn’t have a need to do that
I remember the days where you wouldn’t use anything but a bullet lipstick. I always was like ‘maybe I should give them a better try because Lauren likes them so much’. Wild how time passes eh
i love that you emphasised that you need to evaluate if it's a value for you, individually. because for me the lip kit isn't, i already have the MUFE wherever walnut pencil, i don't have the SF in pink sugar, but i have it in the birthday cake, so i don't need that right now; and the other three lip products in there are not my vibe, not my shades at all. a similar situation with the blush kit, while i love the MBM formula, not that shade. i have that rare beauty mini in joy from another kit. i like the merit, but i have a different shade, and definitely don't need another shade. i like the glossier and that shade, but that's it. no interest in the iconic london spray, don't need another beauty blender, and that basma blush is just not my color at all (never tried the formula). one thing i find frustrating with all these released sets is they're ALL based around cool-toned pinks, fuchsias, and mauves. those shades look horrible on me, whether cheeks, lips, or eyes. even the gleamy dreamy one has the saie blush and the tower 28 lip gloss in those tones, and i love those lip glosses and want to try the formula of that blush. i'm only considering the gleamy dreamy still because it has travel sides of good products, products i like, and it would fill holes in my travel bag - main reason. i am interested in the unisex perfume and two of the new ones (vanilla and the clean one), but again it's entirely based on the fact i know i LOVE at least one of those perfumes in those sets, so if i don't find something else i love to redeem for, i'm happy to get what i know i love. i would rather get the perfume ones though during a sephora sale, so i wonder if these will last until then.

i wear the drunk elephant rosy drops as a regular blush if i feel like i’m looking really makeup-y it kinda brings the look back to skin like ? like i’ll even put it on top of other blushes

I bought all of them girl. ( except the perfume one) also the vacay all day one and showstopper one too! The lip kit was only available for less than 24 hours and it’s on its wasn’t here from literally across the country to get here , it’s going to take 2 Weeks too! But the others came in 3 days, funny how they did that! Luckily it was my Birthday on Friday so I said the hell with it and just ordered five of them and a couple other things too! But I also paid the Canadian Price for it all! I did this the last time they dropped all the kits too, but missed the lip one lol! I really am enjoying playing around with some of it already!! Thanks for your thoughts on that tho!
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the H Q D U P S as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I bought the blush set and I love it! The only disappointment is the iconic london setting spray. It leaves big chunks of glitter on my face. The Mario and Rare blushes are hits for me. I wish the Merit stick had more base pigment more like a blush topper, but it is just a highlighter that looks dewy. I wish they have us a blush stick instead! The Glossier is ok, it dries quickly and I don't like the color Puff that much I wish it was less orange. I would be interested in a different shade; the cloud paint is a fun experience. The beauty blender is a fine addition. The fuchsia mini blush is a fun sample; it feels like a solid formula and its a flattering shade. Overall: I do think the value is there, but pay attention to what you truly want. If it's the Mario, you can spend $30 and get the shade you want. Or maybe it's just the cloud paint, etc. If this set if filled with stuff you genuinely want to try and can afford it, it's a fun experience and could be worth it for you!
I got the giving lip - cz I wanted the Tarte lip plump in that exact shade anyway I was waiting to buy it. That alone is $26. And I feel that the other products are also usable. I’m excited for the lip oil tint even though it’s mini. I like the lip pencil- very usable. Love the lip summer thing. So I bought it and it’s a win!! 🥇
I think it's just not for us. To me, they smell like coconut and it makes me nauseous. Sad because the shades are so pretty. Feels like we're in the minority but that happens. I know I wanted to love the Makeup By Mario plumping lip serums so much. They taste like bug spray to me and I tried 2 different shades. 🫤
I had the same reaction to the scent/flavor as Lauren, and I tried two shades at two different times. Maybe it’s like cilantro in that some folks’ genetics affect how one of the ingredients smells/tastes.
I did pick up the Blush n' Glow - Like you said, it has to be a value for the individual. I needed a cool pink blush and actually for me it's a good value. The other sets, nope not interested this round.
Are they Favorite sets or Value sets? Those are 2 different things. If they are Favorites, it doesnt mean it should be cheaper than if they were sold separatly. Taxes might be where its at, but even then it doesnt meant it would be a big difference.
While generally the value of some of these does math out ok, the price of everything has skyrocketed for bigger profits, not 'inflation'. I miss the $20-40 favorites deals. And they just throw them in what's basically a ziplock bag now, no makeup bag or even the nice boxes they used to come in or anything. :(
now all these sephora sets are not as appealing as before. it no longer seems like the best of deal. especially the perfume set i think they should set it as 25. 30 is way too much, just paying for the rollerball you want plus a few samples, bargain?!

Brow freeze by Anastasia is a newer product! They have a clear gel as well but the new brow freeze in a “tube” is newer!

For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the H Q D U P S as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

I bought the blush set and I love it! The only disappointment is the iconic london setting spray. It leaves big chunks of glitter on my face. The Mario and Rare blushes are hits for me. I wish the Merit stick had more base pigment more like a blush topper, but it is just a highlighter that looks dewy. I wish they have us a blush stick instead! The Glossier is ok, it dries quickly and I don't like the color Puff that much I wish it was less orange. I would be interested in a different shade; the cloud paint is a fun experience. The beauty blender is a fine addition. The fuchsia mini blush is a fun sample; it feels like a solid formula and its a flattering shade.
Overall: I do think the value is there, but pay attention to what you truly want. If it's the Mario, you can spend $30 and get the shade you want. Or maybe it's just the cloud paint, etc. If this set if filled with stuff you genuinely want to try and can afford it, it's a fun experience and could be worth it for you!
I got the giving lip - cz I wanted the Tarte lip plump in that exact shade anyway I was waiting to buy it. That alone is $26. And I feel that the other products are also usable. I’m excited for the lip oil tint even though it’s mini. I like the lip pencil- very usable. Love the lip summer thing. So I bought it and it’s a win!! 🥇

I think it's just not for us. To me, they smell like coconut and it makes me nauseous. Sad because the shades are so pretty. Feels like we're in the minority but that happens. I know I wanted to love the Makeup By Mario plumping lip serums so much. They taste like bug spray to me and I tried 2 different shades. 🫤
I had the same reaction to the scent/flavor as Lauren, and I tried two shades at two different times. Maybe it’s like cilantro in that some folks’ genetics affect how one of the ingredients smells/tastes.

I did pick up the Blush n' Glow - Like you said, it has to be a value for the individual. I needed a cool pink blush and actually for me it's a good value.

Are they Favorite sets or Value sets? Those are 2 different things. If they are Favorites, it doesnt mean it should be cheaper than if they were sold separatly. Taxes might be where its at, but even then it doesnt meant it would be a big difference.

For me, I prefer individual products and the sets look like a waste.
While generally the value of some of these does math out ok, the price of everything has skyrocketed for bigger profits, not 'inflation'. I miss the $20-40 favorites deals. And they just throw them in what's basically a ziplock bag now, no makeup bag or even the nice boxes they used to come in or anything. :(
