Nice upgrades, I like the skid plates. Glad the new tires did not hit the clearance bar.

Hello Kev from the USA found you on Max's channel was waiting for a new vlog from you was happy when you pop up today. Love the upgrades should make your adventures a little easy on you and your van. Those skid plates will be a huge upgrade protecting your van from damage and, the new tires look great love the black on black. Hope you have a fun and, safe week.

Great video Kev… have followed you since seeing you on Max’s channel ….looking forward to your adventures in the van or your skills at plumbing, electrical or masonry …the additional lights will be so useful when driving at night…I just returned from a driving trip in Canada in an area where there were lots of moose and deer on the road at night…very scary to see them along the road or running across the road…

Glad you came across from Max! The lights should make a massive difference, we came really close to hitting a roo a few months ago in the country!
How is it watching Kev work on his van is such a satisfying vid to watch? Myall is a great mate to help you out, and get it all together. Upgrades look banger and should make your off road adventures way better. Although, biggest question is why was the wiring part of the lights the most intimidating?? As an electrician, seems like that should've been the least difficult and easiest part of the project.
Apparently the no beard look was a short lived one. Another excellent choice.

I think my main concern was getting it through into the cabin and then into the engine compartment (where the battery was) as ive not done spot lights on a cab over van before. as it turns out its pretty simple and quite easy haha

If you want a serious bull-bar, check out the IRVIN range of full bumper replacement bars. They're not cheap and they're in W.A. (they ship) but nothing gets past them!

Nice rugged makeover! Have you considered a snorkel too? Definitely not sure it would be adequate for a van or anything, but it seems a lot of people have that around the Northern Rivers, not that you would intentionally want to cross a flooded over pass, but maybe in dire situation, when caught in heavy rains and water rising...
@@libakan I have wanted to do one but really struggling to find one which will work, aparently Jeep TJ Wrangler snorkels will fit well on the model with the single sliding door on passenger side but not sure about double sliding doors! I’m sure I’ll

Nice one! When you turn, do you find the front 225/75/15 tyres have enough clearance in the wheel arches? I'm considering snow chains for winter, so I need a bit of extra space.
They do rub on full lock so wouldn’t be suitable for snow chains unfortunately!

that is a good looking van.. you mine me asking how much you paid for this import from japan for awd version? i was thinking to get hiace converted by bus 4x4 or mine spec companies. but it cost way too much. that i could just get a van and a ute for the price they charge. 50k for conversion.... so now im thinking to get a imported hiace too just want to know the rough price .

I think from memory I was around $25k AUD (15.5 USD) and that was from a importer located in Melbourne, it was an empty van of course and stock so there was extra cost in materials later on for the conversion, but they can work out way cheaper than the bus 4x4 converted ones,
Only downside in my opinion is they are less capable than the bus 4x4 converted vans, (the upside is they are a factory vehicle so parts will be available for them for a long time)
@@Vanlyf may I ask the import dealer that you bought from? I'm at Perth but not much good options here so.
@ I went through a place called automobex, but it was floor stock! There should be plenty of importers who hold stock, very popular van at the moment
