Hey mate I’m in the process off starting a hiace van build an am wondering what you used as insulation for your floor under your plywood look forward to hearing from you cheers
Hey mate! Thanks for the comment, I actually didn’t insulate under the floor only sound deadened, I wanted maximum height in the van as I’m quite tall, plus the climate in aus is moderate enough that I didn’t think I’d need it :). Where are you from?
@@VanLyf ok mate cheers thanks for the reply I live New Zealand,did you sound deadened the whole floor first or just certain areas then plywood straight on top?
@@shaunmcgillNPK ah yes much colder there isn’t it! And I sound deadened the whole floor, but this was before I started filming things for RUclips! Good luck with your build! ☺️
@@VanLyf yea cheers mate another question if you don’t mind did you just screw your plywood straight into the floor of van with metal screws?
@@shaunmcgillNPK all good! I did, but I just used galvanised wood screws, they seem to bite in better than a self drilling screw sometimes which has a tendency to pull out in such thin sheet metal!
Any thoughts on adding a rear diff lock? I'm really curious to find out more about these awesome vans. Nice job Kevin, loving your videos.

Nice rugged makeover! Have you considered a snorkel too? Definitely not sure it would be adequate for a van or anything, but it seems a lot of people have that around the Northern Rivers, not that you would intentionally want to cross a flooded over pass, but maybe in dire situation, when caught in heavy rains and water rising...
@@libakan I have wanted to do one but really struggling to find one which will work, aparently Jeep TJ Wrangler snorkels will fit well on the model with the single sliding door on passenger side but not sure about double sliding doors! I’m sure I’ll Figure something out for the future!
