  • For decades, New York's Forest Hills Stadium was home to the U.S. Open tennis tournament. In the 1960s, the venue also hosted legendary artists like The Beatles and Frank Sinatra. But when the tennis tournament moved to a new location, the music faded away, too, and the stadium fell into disrepair. That is, until a promoter and a popular band took a leap of faith and revived a venue that's like none other in the nation. Dana Jacobson reports.

    Always loved Forest Hills Stadium..saw Arthur Ashe there.
    Love the stadium.

    Hate portable bathrooms.

    I grew up in Forest Hills and saw the Beatles in Aug 1964, father got the tix from Ed Sullivan as he was out of country, so Claudette Colbert made arrangements for my Dad to get to the Plaza and get the TIX!!!!! and the tix came thru Claudette Colbert via Ed and Daddy, yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Daddy was a hero & a rolling stone......!✈😷🎸🎵💚💛🖤💖🔊..STAY SAFE, "WELLTHY", HEALTHY, FAITHFUL and in a flow on the BIKE. U have given me a blessing

    I saw Donna Summer there in 1979, what a great show she put on. I'll never forget it! Her voice was amazing.
