Simon Aeberhard - The Magic Island 🏝️

This is a song about an adventurer sailing across the seas to discover new places - and about the search for a magical island that people have been talking about, but has never been seen before...
But the magical island turns out to be something completely different.
And tragic.
And real.

I actually wrote this composition way back in 2017 when I first learnt about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (see links below) and I wanted to make a song about this urgent topic... But also having this feel of the era of explorers like Christopher Columubs and the likes... And the vibe of an RPG video game where you want to discover new lands and seas.
And yes, I played every instrument on the track (inculding a spice box as a shaker 😆) and did the whole illustration myself (just now in 2023).
