    I didn't know parliament building is this old!
    Anyway as this was taking place ,1954 was also a time when many of our kikuyu freedom fighters were in detention for being members of the mau mau

    I think the hated Brits did a great job in Nairobi. The old chap, pompous. Stiff upper lip is suitable for this climate

      Yes. Unlike the French they gave their colonies a fighting chance

      @@jouvertalandwa5337 yes. Francophone nations were under a mess after independence e.g Belgium Congo,French Congo,Mali,Burkina Faso. Do those countries have cities planned by their former colonisers,are there buildings and other infrastructure that were constructed by the French? Anglophone nations were better off e.g Rhodesia,Kenya,Uganda,Nigeria,Ghana.
      In Kenya 🇰🇪 we have the Uganda Railway,Nairobi Airport(JKIA),planned colonial Nairobi City e.t.c
